I’ll split my feedback in three sections: general hunter, BM hunter and SV hunter. I don’t play MM so I have nothing to say on that.
General hunter feedback:
Hunter’s Mark. Please don’t keep it as it is now on the PTR. 5 (!!) GCDs to mark up to 5 enemies is in a world where monks and DHs apply their debuff on everything through a damage ability, this 5x GCD thing is just absolutely atrocious. Please, just make it passively be applied through attacks. I just fail to see any reason why not.
Other than that, I do miss explosive trap and/or scattershot, especially when it comes to dealing with the CCable Xalatath orbs. Make one of those abilities baseline please.
BM Feedback:
BM plays pretty straightforward, and to me, is relatively saved from boredom by the existence of the Apex talent. Having to weave in shots to buff Kill Command is a good way to rule out a playstyle of spamming KC over and over. Overall, I don’t think BM is that bad at the moment, but the difference between playing Dark Ranger vs. Pack Leader is very noticeable due to DR having Black Arrow: an extra button in the rotation.
My main feedback for BM Is to make that button baseline, Black Arrow works well, so that’s all good, but give Pack Leader something similar. Kill Shot in the past fit that role, but it was either undertuned or just felt disconnected due to a lack of interaction with talents. My suggestion would be a something similar like Black Arrow (usable at <20% health or can be usable through a proc) but make it a pet ability (not a shot) so it works fully with mastery.
Let your pet attack for X% AoE dmg, reduced past x mobs. Maybe a bleed. Maybe a short dmg buff on your pet when you press that ability. I’m sure you can cook something up if you decide to go in this direction.
TL:DR: please give Pack Leader an extra button to press like Dark Ranger gives one.
SV Feedback:
Thematically I still don’t think a lot of things make sense, in short, you reworked SV in Midnight with Rexxar in mind, and there’s almost nothing Rexxar in the current kit. Yes, Axe Toss but it’s pointless. Also: shotgun. Yeah, I know, this is a hot topic. If you ever decide to rework SV again, I’d prefer it if you’d take in a direction of half-BM-hunter/half-assisination-rogue: the former being pets and some good stuff like that exists with Strike As One, the latter: poisons! Serpent Stings, Vicious Venoms, Toxic Takedowns. Summon snakes! Yeet a jar of snakes… go wild!
Rotationally I’d prefer one more button. Something that could do an (AoE) bleed so it works with Outland Venom (which still needs to be fixed btw..) and with a generous cooldown of 15-20 seconds. I’m just rifing.
TL;DR: thematically SV is weird but it doesn’t matter that much, please one more ability as a talent or baseline, kthx!
