Shadowcraft shoulders have a 14.2% drop chance… my addon says I have done 40 attempts on Cannon Master and still no drop… I guess mathematically it’s possible, so can someone break down how UNLUCKY I actually am.
Or maybe shadow-ban by Blizzard?..

To answer your question: the probability of not getting something with 14,2% dropchance after 40 runs is 0,2185%.
So pretty close to 0^^

May be they are not? Blizzard does not publish any drop chances. Just because some shady, full of ads, website shows that number, means nothing to the real game. May be real drop chance is 1%? Or it depends on your character hidden “luck” stat? I, personally, observed it very often, when some characters are lucky and some are not.

I’m on the last quest in the chain with my rogue, i need shadowcraft tunic and shadowcraft cap. About 2 months in now with that T0.5 set? Both aren’t dropping for me, maybe i’ll do Scholo and UBRS every day or like the last few days, UBRS twice a day, nothing. I’ve had days that only the hunter chest would drop, RNG is really an illusion.
I’m SO ANGRY about it that i’m taking days off in CATA/MOP just to relieve the frustration. At his point it’s NO FUN anymore and just a source of frustration, i’m seriously like WTH BLIZZARD?!?!?!
So yeah wth Blizzard, what’s up with this crap and added to that, other stuff needed from MC and BWL i’m hunting it really goes as far as me nearly quitting anniversary.
So yeah if you are at the shoulders and they won’t drop then you have a long way ahead of more frustration to come. 4 pieces of the set are bis until AQ comes out and i’m fearing i won’t be able to complete the last quest before that happens.

question 2 : does any better alternatives exist ?
question 3 : will it be relevant when aq40/naxx/tbc released ?
recommend : farm rank 10 ( extreamly easy and great gear ) , don’t farm anything else, and enjoy game.
Loot tables are broken since original classic/tbcc/wotlkc. Many items have lowered drop chance on purpose so you have to play/pay for sub more. If you haven’t seen it in 40 runs then it’s 3-4% most likely.
It won’t be fixed cause it’s basically an official legal scam.

it will be when AQ comes out for sure will be relavant for rouges who dont get all the pieces they want from AQ40 with how fast things are moving along this time I would guess that its most of the rogues that wont get it.
For rogues a useless recommendation seeing as their pvp gear is not that great it for sure is easier to get than random dungeon blues that are good but 4p t0.5 is godly

Random loot is random is the only real answer that can be given. I ran MC 26 times hoping for Giantstalker’s Boots on my Hunter and they never dropped a single time.

That is true, and I never said that random loot isnt, I was just saying that saying that the rank 9 gear is a alternative is kinda stupid, when we are talking about people looking for what is close to bis, I have been running BWL every week since it came out and I havent even seen DFT so I know that random loot for sure is random.
I’ll answer it, you have 85.8% chance of not getting the loot, your chance of not getting the loot after 40 tries is 0.858^40= 0,2%.
So still one in every 500 players is gonna be in your situation. Quite a lot; nothing to see here!
