This sucks. I wonder if you un-sub and than re-sub you would get it? I may try it and feedback.
People that aren’t subbed need to catch up and this is just a way to help them get to end game. Why is this a problem?
Besides, everyone gets a free boost when they buy the expansion. Everyone that got BfA got an 110 boost.
Not trying to be rude, but people sound bratty and entitled complaining about things like this.
I have to say it isn’t very good, it’s just to entice players back, why don’t Blizzard give this to players that have been with then for a few years too. After all we will probably stay subscribed and a player who gets this will not.
Players will use it then try to play the character, realise they can’t and log out.
Edit: one more thing, why is it 100? Not 110.
I should have waited. I resubbed a couple of weeks ago and haven’t bought bfa so no boost for me, darn it.
It’s a good thing for Blizz to encourage people back into the game and give classic returners a taster with trials and boosts. It might help solve dead server/no tanks issues. I said ‘might’.
Do you think it’s against the law to offer it to some people but not all?
No, you had to prove Blizzard was discriminating against a group protected under the law for this to be illegal.
I can’t believe I just had to type that sentence
Wow. Why are so many people angry over this? Just because you’re a paying customer, you think you’re entitled to free stuff?
Why not, people who do nothing get free stuff.
Ermmm yes? Would be nice to treat your paying fanbase.
It’s not even free. You get it once you resub. Blizzard just found a way to use an old product and make a bit of revenue on it. It’s lvl 100 boost with a variable price ranging from 13 Euro and upwards.
Just a clever marketing technique.
That is not true, I have an inactive account and I had this offer on it, no subscription required, however, to play the character you do.
That’s the illusion. Yes the Boost is free. But to use it on a character and play with it, you must pay.
Is this a joke?
Not to use the boost, just to play it.
Yes you cant boost a character and then not play what would be the point of using a boost if you cant play?
I cant imagine any old player downloading the game using the boost and then uninstall because they cant play
I’m still not coming back.
Some guy on US forums said he got this boost too and he has active wow acc for years. So stop being rude
i dont think this is about entitlement. people are probably only unhappy because of how players are being treated in game, with lackluster content and endless grinds when we’ve been contributing to blizzards pocket all the time. whereas people who quit, and most likely quit for good reason are being given a perk. it is £49 in value to be fair.
I have been active for years also, i got nothing.
That “perk” is useless because I quit
