tbh, i wish i had your strength and could
My eyes have finally been opened - I am having so much fun now.
They ALSO get that. This boost is in addition to the rewards for playing during the anniversary, providing they can level from 100-120. Which isn’t particularly hard to do.
So new players, and resubbers, just got £44.50 (49 / 110 * 100) worth of an in-game service, and we got nothing. Not even a low effort title. While the players who jumped ship during this rather bad expansion just got rewarded for doing so.
Rather crap if this is the complete package.
Hard to believe since you come posting every other week
anna remember me what are you playin now?
Dhoobs: you can post even when unsubbed
Don’t people here live in the real world or what? Plenty of big companies use “gifts” to attract NEW customers. It is how marketing works.
Quit WoW for it? Sure, but do you really think Blizzard is the only one doing this? Dream on.
What is the fuzz about?
Except in this case the gift is not for NEW customers, just one who has stopped playing.
Doesn’t change much. Still makes more sense attracting those with a boost than still subscribed players.
people on us forums claim it works
gonna test it tonight .

haha they really must be desperate for subs!
Tried it just now, hasn’t worked immediately, and I have 3 days left before needing to resub.
Might need to wait till tomorrow before something “checks” whether I have an active subscription or not. Otherwise, **** outta luck. Might stay that way.
What does it cost them? I mean, could they not have just given one to everyone anyway?
Happy 15th anniversary! To celebrate we’re giving everyone a free boost to bring old players back and say thank you to all the current players.
Not exactly going to cause them a financial loss.
at the risk of being labelled,…care?..:p…,.it’s not really an actiBlizz thing, it’s a modern business trend. those of you that occasionaly step away from your pc’s to the gogglebox may have seen adverts by companies that promote their abstinence from this practice…but once again, there is only one way to change it…
using bait to attract business isn’t really new anyway, it’s on you whether you want to swallow the hook or not…
Was about to reply on this as well, also on the us forums a lot of people with active subs claim to have received the boost, there is a lot of confusion going on there atm
Ok, so for some reason my friend who has an active account and has been subbed for over 4 months, has been given the free boost gift… WTF is going on?!?
You are correct that other companies are doing this however Blizzard are the only ones doing it that I care about, and I assume others care about; so your point isn’t really valid.
I’m in agreement with OP. Kind of out of line.
Also I don’t get the people aruging that it’s fine because it’s a business practice used by other companies. Aren’t you aware that loyal customers are equally pee’d off at those companies when they did it?
My family used to have Sky when I used to still live with them, but my father cancelled it because he was outraged over how our prices kept going up while new customers got nice deals. These tactics are almost universal reviled and certainty not excused because they’ve become commonplace. It is right for us to fight against them whenever they appear.
