17th Anniversary Drops Hotfixed

Rocket is 1 - 3333 chance
Horseman 1- 100 chance

Can not compare the 2 .

Rocket and Sha mount share the rarest drop rate in game with 1-3333 chance nothing should be like that.

Those two are not anniversary events.

have not even add a sadle to the mount. Just copy pasted mob to a mount

And what this ugly-looking flying worm has to do with the big robot boss? The mount should be some robotic thing. Maybe a copy-paste Tekton - the robotic sheep. Sheep mount would be cool.

Tnx Blizz!
:metal:

and you are aware people can kill the boss on multiple characters? :x

i think people should stop putting so much emphasis on prestige, they re just pixels at the end of the day.

either you want the mount and get it or you dont and well, dont. its not like blizzard holds a gun to peoples head to get a mount they wont use or wont want. hell, even if you want the other drops just delete the mount again after you re done since its not automatically added to your collection.

and as horseman and love rocket, they re two completely different events to the anniversary event.

Sorry to be mean but this is the most stupid argument that is thrown around once in a while by people who dont understand how a RPG works at all.
If it’s just pixels, why get gear at all? Why participate in any content? Why not make Invincible and Ashes sold by a vendor in Orgrimmar for 150 gold? Why play this game at all? Why play ANY game at all?
Motivation to do something comes from the difficulty of that. That in turn makes the reward more prestigious, and gives the player a sense of achievment. Be it from a lucky RNG roll or from a skill-based reward: Glory of the X raid mounts, Vicious and Gladiator mounts, KSM mounts, Etc.
Take this system away and the game loses it’s meaning entirely.

The people who are now complaining that this is “Devaluing the mount” are probably the same people who would scream in anger if they saw someone else wearing a similar Hawaian shirt.

I remember when the Deathwing Mount was pretty much a guaranteed reward if you completed an event during the 15th anniversary. Were people just as whiny about it then as they are now?

If it makes you feel any better, people who aren’t playing WoW now won’t have the mount after the event goes. So you can stroke your ego with that!

Last I checked, RPG games don’t typically work by giving RNG chances of getting things that serve as a cosmetic piece rather than an actual gameplay upgrade.

As someone who has some “Rare” mounts, I wouldn’t mind if their drop chance were increased/if they were reintroduced in some form for people to reacquire.

Aah… You’re one of those people who mistake inconvenience and RNG to be some kind of tier of difficulty.

That explains why I keep riding around common mounts in spite of having some “Exotic” mounts.

It’s an anniversary mount…you log in for the anniversary, kill a world boss and get the mount. It may not be quite as exciting as the Corehound Raid, but I’m cool with it.

If you don’t, then you lose out on the mount (unless Blizz add it to the BMAH later).
I watched someone miss out on the Obsidian Worldbreaker by minutes, because he had forgotten about the Anniversary event and it was not possible to pull a group together fast enough, in the dying minutes of the final day, to get it for him.

No one is taking your other ‘bragging rights’ Prestige mounts systems away… and by the way, RNG is blind luck, no achievement involved.
Eg. If you had been grinding away for the Rocket for years on an army of Alts and someone got the drop first try at the event, I very much doubt you would be delighted at their ‘achievement’.

rpg has nothing to do with low mount drop chances or stuff like that.

i dont understand why anyone would put so much value in mounts or whatever. if ashes or invincible would be sold for 150g i wouldnt give a hoot.

in my opinion, you should get gladiator/ksm/raid mounts because you like them and because you want to challenge yourself and not because you want something prestigious. you could do achievement/raid/pvp rating x, y and z and still be proud about what you ve achieved even if nothing was tied to it.

there is no prestige in being lucky either imo. one could get it at the first or 5000th try. there is absolutely no skill or whatever involved what would make it prestigious. just like people who buy boosts to get gladiator/ksm/raid achievement/mounts.

so whether you like it or not, in the end they are indeed just pixels in a video game. :woman_shrugging:

i know this will sound really wild but hear me out, people do things because its fun to them. at least so i have heard.

if you only do things for rewards then thats rather sad in my opinion.

As a reply to the above posters who clearly missed my point: I wasn’t refering to this mount in particular, but to the general ideea of “It’s just pixels”, and how that could ruin the game. There are 2 endgames currently in WoW: Char progression and cosmetics. Some people are mainly interested in the later, and you can’t blame then for that. Now, If you decide to do that change for a mount AFTER it was released, even if the initial implementation of it was LOW DROP chance, then it might make you wonder if that is the way they will go on forward. Only participation prizes, so everyone can feel happy, that they hit a boss once and got everything.

That is correctly stated YOUR opinion, which some people, like me, couldn’t really care about. So you can play the game exactly the way you want, but don’t act like that is the way everyone wants to play it.

dude, who the hell hurt you? i never claimed i speak for everyone. no idea why you get so defensive over a bunch of pixels in a video game.

Why are YOU so triggered? Why are YOU even playing the game, as it’s the 4th time you said the word Its just Pixels? Why do YOU care about so much about the opinion of a person like me, that appears just as some PIXELS Icon of a character on a video game forums.

You mean like all the ‘Prestige’ titles, toys and mounts that you are hugely impressed by, but may just be the result of a boost?

im not “triggered” at all, jesus, if you cant handle someone disagreeing with you or holding a different opinion dont post on a public forum.

Thank you for the low-brow, low-IQ replies and for dodging to give a real response. I am above this level of conversation and will see myself out of here. Have a nice day.
