I remember someone experimented downvoting me with alts after they found out it was posssible.
No action was taken. I didn’t type anything that broke the rules but my post was buried for a while.

Well this is why I consider Jito a troll (and when I said it before, I wasn’t joking).
Jito posts in the arena forum - content they have never participated in and have no experience in, in ways to in my opinion from their history purposefully and intentionally bait people into arguments to provoke people. They have openly said they hate arena players and therefore they have no purpose to post there except to troll them. Arena is a very emotionally driven piece of content compared to the rest of WoW, so I can only assume that and the fact supposedly in Wrath they had green mvp and lost it due to the arena forums (supposedly, I quit between wrath-mop) is why they hate them.
I have personally never read or had to read a CoC but I have moderated 4 different forums and multiple game servers and that behaviour would easily cause a timeout eventually. Without even reading the Blizzard CoC, I bet it claims to not be exhaustive and purposefully writing messages to cause unrest seems legitimate to me.
interestingly, I would say they post occasionally correct stuff but like 90% of their posts are purely to cause arguments and de-rail threads. Since they never change how they post, I imagine people will continually flag them.
Also yes, re-reading before you reply is often good. I quite often delete posts because I decide they are not worth it; this one I probably could have removed too.

Jesus christ get a grip. To this day I reported one post on blizzard forums. Do you have any sense of humour or posting useless gifs is all youve got?

Uh forums here have funny people, I mean go say you like a singer and if the singer happens to be black you get reported. So not we only have fake-woke-SJWs here, we also have closet racists. I wouldn’t take the forum reports seriously until moderator team fixes the fake-reports from alts and makes it bannable offence to false report begin with.
I had a fan from classic forums single me out, and chain report every and all possible posts I did which was reason I had to make profile ‘hidden’ to hide posting history. It was actions of ONE person, who did not like that I disagreed about rogues needing to open chests in dungeons or certain guild being exposed being exploiters. Hiding profile instantly stopped the reporting spree from that one person.

Concerning random bans and suspensions, i got few of them as well, i couldn’t figure out for what for most of them were tho.

I know some do, and have told me that here, but I have not noticed such ‘singling out to report all you say’ behaviour here despite I post mainly on general, and I am known to support multiboxing. My tongue is relatively sharp and it is bound to cut somewhere where it does not belong.
But since I am always 100% CoC following, then people can report me as much they like.

I think we can all agree the reporting system has many flaws and if as Leafkettle said earlier…
…then we are left with the forum users actually moderating forums, which can never be a good thing as we all have our own ideas of what should/should not be allowed.
I personally believe that a lot of flagged posts are deserving of the flags given, but there are also lots that are not. I think some posters see the flagging system as a way to disagree with a post, a downvote basically, even if the post in question did not break the CoC.
I have said this before and I still believe it, there should be a way for moderators to track who flags and for what reason. If certain posters flag continously for the wrong reasons, then tracking this and maybe issuing punishments to those that do this would help the situation.

I think they don’t tend to post in game related topics for a reason however you could also argue that favourite zone/pet/mount type threads are actually game related. The ones they’ll never post in are the X is bad because of Y or we need Z in the game type posts.
Arguably Boots appreciation thread - #44 by Tyrskorn is game related as well as I Finally Found My Class! - #41 by Arythwinn. Blue posts in game related threads but ones that aren’t going to go down in a flame wall as they start with the ubiquitous everyone agrees that such and such is bad for the game etc.

well there is the curiosity part and id like to ask why they reported me and to see what kind of person does that… enforcing bad rules has its purpose too … 21st century if full of great examples
