2 questions about the fresh classic wow servers

I have just learned that on November 21, 2024 Blizzard will relaunch fresh wow classic servers.
It was announced that these servers would further evolve towards The Burning Crusade expansion.

I have two important questions to which I have not found answers before relaunching on the adventure:

  1. What will happen during the transition between the Classic period and the TBC period? will we be able to transfer our characters to an Era 60 server again? or will we be forced to follow the progression towards TBC?

  2. Once the TBC period is over, do you plan to create Era 70 servers? Or is it planned to necessarily evolve into Wotlk?

I need to know before relaunching on the server, because I don’t want to invest myself in new characters if I don’t know if I will be able to keep my characters or not and if I will be forced to follow the progression towards TBC or Wotlk…

Thanks in advance

If you want your char to remain on ERA there are servers currently locked in ERA available. Little to no chance to be able to transfer from the fresh incoming servers to the old ones. You’ll most probably have to follow it to TBC progression.

Nothing has been said about it yet.

Unknown, but there is a tiny chance that they open a TBC realm similar to 2021, to avoid that Hardcore players transfer to TBC. But this would only affect PvE servers, which kills the hope again because Blizzard will most likely treat both realms the same. In other words a dead HC player can transfer to TBC in 2026.

They also implement QoL changes including dual spec and said “we are open to make more changes depending on feedback”. So, be prepared it’s not really era or TBC how we know it.
