2400 Rating is not equal to M+15

For gearing purposes rated pvp in SL will still be the path with most resistance and people will actively avoid it when it comes to gearing unless it’s their only source.

It’s much easier to hop into groups in the Group Finder than it is to search for the appropriate classes & adept players to play for rating to 2400.

PvP gearing requires too much of a grind early on to be a viable way to gear up and be on the same level, not to mention the archaic pre-wod style vendor with specific stats no class uses and no pvp power available [fyi I’m against pvp power] when dungeons most likely will still provide every stat combination for every item like they have since the WoD inception.

It takes less time for players to reach the M+15 bracket than it is to reach 2400, and at the same time +15 is ‘considered’ mid tier [granted at the end of the expansion] with +20-25s being the norm.

2400 is top 1%? of all players participating in pvp where as +15 seems to be a lot higher/the norm after a month of the patch release.

In my opinion both brackets should cap maximum item level gear at 2100/+15 and have mounts/increased drops/transmog/titles/battle pets/WoD Style CM Weapons that are unlocked for every 100 rating/+1.5 keystone levels up to 3000/+30 to keep the hardcore interested while not being harmful to participants that cannot play that much.

Shouldve made this thread right before the forums become read only tonight for 2 hours xD

Yea it’s definitly not the same.
I cannot get to 1800 in pvp and I boost 15s. I’ve done it as 3 man once.

However: “+20-25s being the norm”
It is not

1800 >>> +15

makes sense to me, quite reasonable request

This is true, 2400 is about as hard as a 5 key.

They need to lower the gear reward from pvp to reflect this.

So much basic bait in here :zipper_mouth_face:

It depends if you play a demon hunter, destro warlock or holy paladin with the relevant corruptions, 2400 is probably easier then +15.

Whatever works honestly, if 1800 is the equivalent % of total players participating in arenas compared to M+15 I’m all up for it.

I think 1800 is equivalent to a +15 generally. Clearly Blizzard wants pvpers to have to pve but not pvers to want to pvp.

To be honest, i don’t like ilvl in pvp behind rating either. I’d rather pvp was only about skill.

Well that’s just not true now, is it ? Currently you cannot play a single game with your 2400 CR buddy and get a 475 piece for the week whether you win or lose.

Having to win a single game and then fill the conquest bar/finish the quest which takes more time than a single dungeon while at the same time having to have appropriate rating for said item level is overkill.

I think I will just leave this here.

That’s been hotfixed?

8.3 is hot garbage, but my opinion is about future requirements

Regardless, once you at 2.5k before it got hotfixed you can cap conquest by other means and still get 2.5k rewards.

Something like brackets in league of legends where once you hit platinum you can no longer drop out of that rating/mmr range?

It resets every season but seeing how he got 2.5k this season. If they do no more arena they will stay at that rating and continue getting good loot.

There’s a new one though. Again by Rextroy

Exactly. You can basically wing it to 2.4k on good rng.

You need to win 1 game in the 2400+ bracket to get 475 loot.

He cannot keep doing world quests to fill the conquest bar each week for the loot.
