2400 Rating is not equal to M+15

go ahead and achieve 2500 rating then if its that simple.

Strongly disagree. I’ve been tanking lots of runs in season 2 and got to +17 easily, meanwhile struggled to hit 2000 rating over course of a month. PvP is much more challenging and demanding, more-so in mythic+ you can still finish with no timer and get loot, while in PvP if you lose, you lose rating.

On top of which, PvP is unpredictable, as it’s player vs player, mythic+ and PvE in general is very predictable, as AI uses same mechanics every run.

Why do you want to compare to a pvp activity to a pve one?

Doubt on a m+ part, party members could be “fun”, especially 3k toxic dhs who die in 1st aoe and leave

It’s really like 1800 cr = 15+

tbh ; 2400 is equal to +24 key or smth like that. Didnt do the math ,but it is quite similar in difficulty wise.

You can get carried in m+, but you cannot really get carried in 3v3 or 2v2. Its not possible in reality ; because mechanics, dps+gear difference ,skill difference and elitism.

I managed to get +15 ,i regularly look for +15 keys. Well; i even beat +16 once too. but i really dont think i can ever get close to 2400 rating in arena ;in my life time. Unless i get carried by 2x top geared gladiator dps and i heal them. Even then, its a low possibility.

After a certain gear treshhold, doing +15 is easier. On pvp however ; its not possible. Your win rating gains and rating point loses are nearly same. It is ridiculous.

The reason why many people doesnt do pvp is it isnt rewarding as pve.It doesnt reward tenacity. In pvp you need to be best of best ; both gearwise ; and skillwise.Pve is instant gratification gearwise. PvP is not. (pvp gears are scrap compared to pve)

Arena participation are getting lower and lower in each expansion and broken systems such as corruption are the reason. And geargap adds on top of that.At 8.2 i did some pvp got my rival,(the last patch that bfa had some kind of arena balance)after 8.3 i did some arena but i got disgusted from it ;saw how broken it was, and i stopped doing pvp.And lets also not forget that we saw a prot pally tank managed to abuse the game and found one shot people in arenas.

Also the cloak progression brought into the game is the worst implemented thing in wow history. It completely bars new players integration; and it is not alt-friendly ; and renders them inefficient in game. In theory, vision system should have given gear ; or gear ilvl upgrade tokens, or smth similar to that.It shouldnt have been so much hassle.

You needed weeks of farm to just be able to use the gear you dropped in game. This was; AND this is a bad design.

Agree or not. Pve gearing and overall geargap is really disabling pvp balance in long run. (unless they balance the game by adding pve loot drops to pvp’ers as well for example >random bg /arena 2v2 win chest rewards.)

Well Mythic + 15 isnt equal not even to heroic raiding yet it rewards mythic gear so.

Yet ur turbostuck doing neither of those things kekw

Im playin booth PvE and PvP i can tell: m15 PvP equal is 1800

Let me help you read PvP chart.
<1500 - Guy is maybe casual, maybe he just not wish to dip more into PvP
1600 - Guy show basic PvP skills
1700 - Guy is PvP adept, yet alot to learn
1800 - Guy is decent PvP player (from now onward player is worth of respect)
1900 - Guy doing very well in PvP
2000- Guy got skills to oppose anyone if he put enough dedication
2100 - Guy is skilled and show certain degree of dedication
2200 - Guy is skilled and show even more dedication
2400 - Guy is skilled, and dedicated, and knowledgeable about current meta
2600 - Guy is skilled, dedicated and plays meta class
2800 - Guy is skilled , dedicated and plays meta class, and have luck to catch good winning streak or avoid bad day

Or let me simplify you more, and compare WoW to other competitive games

<1500 -bronze
1550-1699 - silver
1700-1899 - gold
1900 - 2099 platinum
2100 - 2399 - diamond (duelist title)
2400 - 2600 - Master (elite title)
2600+ Grandmaster (Gladiator title) but this last one depends on ratting inflation

PS. I also think ingame ratting medals coresopond the same as explained
And now ask youself how much people in other game reach platinum legauge, and how much people in WoW do m15…you see being platinum is is uncommon, yet doin m15 is somehting common, thats why ratting rewards shoud be better.

No need to it’s been proven.

heroic raid is easier than +15
But both are actually quite easy to be fair.
first 3 bosses of Mythic nyaloatha are also easier than 2k rating.

although it is very hard to compare pvp and pve as it requires a different skillset (not only mechanical but also mindset)
Pve is more about training and repetition while pvp is more about adaptation.

Both are currently overshadowed by fotm domination to the max though.

cannot compare it. Both require different things.

you absolutely can get carried to 2.2k and even above. It just requires much more time than a simple +15 carry.
You also cannot get carried a +28 the same way you probably cannot selfplay carry 2.8k
You can get carried mythic raid (completely)
Generally the less people involved, the harder it is to be carried. That is also why 2s is so popular. Unfortunately blizz doesn’t care because they cannot balance it the slightest so they just threw in the towel and said we balance 3s now (which they also didnt, lol)

On the biggest Note:
In pve you can only go up but not down.

That’s why you play with your friends or guildies. Pugging mythic+ is wildcard.

But since you compare it to PvP, even if you go premade in PvP, you still get unpredictable enemies.

When I said it’s very predictable, I’m refering to mechanics and NPC behavior.

the thing about mythic+ dungeons is also that you don’t even have to time the key in order to reap max reward.

You can get shredded in an absolute clusterf… of a run, eg. 2 hour siege of boralus with 100 deaths. And you’ll still be elegible for 475 loot from weekly, even though your group was terrible and took 4 times the intended amount of time to beat this dungeon.

Imagine if your weekly was determined by your highest TIMED key for the week. So if you do just 1 run and it’s not in time - tough nips, you have to run another one. A simple and fair change. Similar to how PvP works - you have to win 1 rated game to receive a rating-dependent reward. You can’t just get boosted to 2400 and keep receiving 475 loot from doing randoms and world quests forever.

The forums would propably drown in tears of bad players that want to have top-end reward for merely pointing at something.

When you never time a key your keys goes down though. Every week you have to up it again.

the key found in weekly chest goes down 1 level regardless whether you time it or not.

if you do a 15, you will find a 14 key.
Timing that 15 or not does not matter.

Exactly. So if you want your weekly you at least have to time a 14 and then finish the 15.

Assuming you only do your own key that is. :anguished:

That’s cute m8.

Yes, there are sometimes oversights that allows people to freaking annihilate the PvP game through something that’s a borderline exploit. And Blizzard will fix it, and they have.

But when things are working somewhat normally, getting to 2.4k means playing a good class, good spec, and a good comp, coordinating via voice chat constantly in a fast-paced combat situation against extremely competent (top 1%) players.

A M+15 can be PuG’ged with just about anybody in a random afternoon using the group finder tool.

It also takes longer to cap in PvP than it takes to run a M+.

I’d say 2.4k arena is somewhere in the neighbourhood of a +20 or something like that. +15 is probably somewhere around 1900 or 2000.

If you pug with unlimited keys available, rio comes in place. When you miss the rio you do not get invited for 15’s. When you do it with your guild or M+ group you have to upgrade a key yourself.

In any way both situations it would not end up with :

You are telling people in a field of which you do not have any experience in whatsoever what is simple.
You call 2400+ arena rating simple yet you have never been above 1500.

Cant tell if serious…

I’ll have you know I’m a pvp god.
