Have you thought about lowering the reset timer for raids? Atm clearing all 3 raids takes about 2-3 hours. I really think it would be great for people who play alot. And it does not affect the casual guy in anyway. Since you can extend a lockout. Thanks

Yeah got an alt. Same story there. I am working on a third for that reason.
Hehe I don’t think there’s much chance of faster resets. This phase is supposedly going to be the shortest one at least.

Hi, is there any chance You remeber the source of this information? I’ts quite important for me, and all I heard about the length of the phases was that Blizz thinks pahses in TBC were a bit too short, and wanted to make them longer for WotLK.

Well it was the interview with Scottejaye and some other dudes and really it said that ulduar would be longer. I made the assumption that ICC/Ruby Sanctum would not be short too.

1 reset per week is good because not everyone have the time to be playing wow for every waking hour.

No fun allowed Blizztard has made the heroic and normal lockouts (starting toc onwards) shared so that we can only do one or the other.
Do you think they will half the lockouts now?

I’d argue that having a 3 day lockout insted of 7 day does make the game experience worse for people who have less time to play, especially considering current meta oriented community.
If you raid only once per week, and others are able to raid twice a week, You fall behind on gear. That means harder time getting into guilds or pugs and less chance to get bis items, to name a few things.

I’d be down for shorter lockout durations when the the newer raids step in and take the spotlight. I’m content with a week lockout for the phases “main” raid though.
No and here’s why :
- ToC NM/HM ID was linked because not being “forced” to do 4 raids per week
- Warmane already did that on Frostmourne 1, i thought it was a great idea but at the end it was horrible, because we was forced to do it, forced why ? Because the server was like SoM, 1 year life, and we know TBC was only 13 months so no again.
2 resets per week only good if you don’t feel yourself forced to do every ID, and for that you need to know “Ok np i can skip it sometimes because the next tier is not here before 5 months”.
That’s my opinion and almost every players on warmane hated it, that’s why they removed this mecanics
clearly against 3 days reset, because old wotlk didnt have it.

Seems that in OG Wrath you could do normal AND heroic in same lockout, now only one of them, so: Double the numbers => halve the time seems reasonable enough.
