+400 People Banned from World chat! - Skullflame

So basically yesterday some guy named “Silent” on EU Skullflame-Alliance got the ownership of the World Channel …Sadly he started banning people from the world chat, “no comment”

problem is he didnt ban 5 , 6 , 20… no first he banned a whole guild because they ninja ok.
then… he started banning whoever doesn’t agree with him… then he went crazy with that power … and people say he banned +300~400 people or maybe more from world chat…

THE QUESTION IS : i got the ownership today, and i just wanna fix what he ruined … any Mass unban command i can do? i dont think i can /unban world all day…

Thanks!

Silent needs to be silenced tbh

World chat is a player created channel. Whoever gets hold of it, can do whatever he pleases. This happend on shazzrah as well, so use the official lookingforgroup channel and leave world chat behind. Easy solution for a problem that does not even exist.

It exists because way more people use world than lookingforgroup and if you’re silenced on this channel you have a huge disadvantage. But thanks for your garbage take.

I really dont think that many people use world chat on Classic servers. Whenever I look its just a few spergs

Players create channel, players start to ban each other. Blizzard solve this !

/unban World playername

I don’t think that it’s possible to get list of banned players, so they should probably ask you to unban them. But may be someone will correct me.

Anyway custom channel for the entire server is a terrible idea and you should not use them. It’s private server thing which is not properly supported on Classic and suitable only for tiny trusted groups. Just use LookingForGroup.

oh well

I’m not asking for blizzard to solve it. It’s just dumb as hell to act like there is no problem when there clearly is.

^
yes , we’re not asking blizzard to fix, just asking if theres any /unban Allserver or something lol

Wow, that’s scummy. I don’t think there really is any fix for this other than to ask all those who got banned to /w you so you can unban them, but that’s going to take a lot of work and it can all be undone again once Silent gets leadership again and loses his composure, which he seems to do quite often.

…ban him?

Huh, didn’t think of that.

Oh yeah. I felt that disturbance in the Force while sitting on the toilet. Wondered what it was.

Could you delete the channel and make a new one with the same name … just thinking aloud I have no idea of how this channel creation ect works.

The only good solution here is to put a password on the channel and ban everyone then leave the channel

No there isn’t. One dumb idiot created “world” channel, other dumb idiots joined it, though it was repeated 100500 times that private channels are not moderated by blizzard. Eat the fruit of your own dumbness.

Deleting the channel completely should be the easiest way. This will probably open up a slot for a new channel to be created and ffa

Edit. Downside: every alliance on the server has to rejoin new channel

then they should stop being stupid and use official channels

Hardly a garbage take if you private server tryhards refuse to use official Blizzard channels like LookingForGroup, then cry when some random nub abuses his power and kicks & bans people from the custom channel called World.

Just because you most likely used world chat on private servers doesn’t mean you must use it on Classic.

It’s not an important channel whatsoever, LookingForGroup offers players just what they need, and in fact, World chat is actually too risky to use like any custom channel because if somebody ninjas your loot after stating fair loot rules in World chat, Blizzard GMs can’t do anything about it since they don’t track chat logs for custom channels.
