So I have been trying to merge one of my WoW licenses on my alt battlenet account into my main account both under the same name region and payment info but for some reason I need to file a ticket to have this service done. Knowing that my accounts qualify for the merge why does there need to be a ticket involved and not just have some sort of automated system that detects if the switch can be made. As of now I have been waiting just a bit over 5 days just to have a GM/Support tell me what I already know and press a button to transfer the account.
Because they unfortunately have to verify the given information is real and accurate due nefarious abusers in the past selling accounts with faked information etc.
You know, making more and more posts about this (I suspect the other 2 posts about this are yours as well), isn’t going to speed it up. Not even by 1 millisecond.
Forum staff are not in-game GM’s, nor can they flag you for prioritization.
You suspect wrong because they are not my posts.
Hi there Douloureux,
While I can understand it may seem like a simple request, the process to do this includes a significant amount of work that could not be easily automated.
I know a lot of people are waiting longer than anyone would like, many unable to play at all until they get assistance, and we’re doing everything we can to get to each ticket as quickly as possible.
For now we can only ask that you try to be patient and we’ll help everyone as soon as we can.
7 days and counting here mate.
That’s understandable my only concern is that I may be asked to provide one piece of information in the ticket that I haven’t already then have to wait another 10 days for a second reply. Wish there was a live chat or something. Just seems a bit understaffed atm for such a large company.
There is for certain issues, though it seems to have disappeared too for those. I assume they’re redirecting all their resoruces to the peak launches due DF, WOTLK Classic, OW2, etc but before this it was quite faster to get a response.
This is my concern, and the ticket isn’t uploading any of my evidence. I have checked and double checked the format, size etc but they will not upload.
Same I uploaded my ID but have no confirmation that it updated or anything. And I already know they will respond to my ticket ask me for my ID and then not respond for another 10 days.
Yes, my thoughts exactly. All of this for something which is the most basic of administrative tasks, verifying someone’s ID. I cannot understand how there isn’t the facility in place to perform this task, busy or not.
