6 reasons why I quit wow

  1. I HATE weekly time gates to get basic things like essences or visions
  2. BFA the most unfriendly and boring xpac yet at max level
  3. Constantly rep grinding at max level repeating it in an endless cycle
  4. More bots playing the game than players, making gold worthless on AH
  5. Everything scales ilvl/mob lvl makes extremely boring gameplay
  6. Servers are total trash they can barely handle 5v5 in none instance scenarios, making the game literally unplayable for a game we spend our money on, nazjatar is still a mess

If time gating comes back in shadowlands I won’t be returning, I’m so sick of the game forcing me to log in the following week to collect a dam essence or some form of ability collector.

Reasons i am currently on my wow hiatus.

  1. Could not stand anymore the RNG over RNG over RNG.
  2. Classes feel extremely boring to play
  3. Too much grind for weeks to months to actually have fun (pathfinder/allied races)
  4. Feels like blizzard doesn’t care at all about Alliance anymore.
  5. I hate mob scaling it feels pointless especially when the older zones in current expansion don’t even scale properly so that mobs would pose a threat.
  6. Feels like Blizzard has abandoned pvp entirely and are focusing too much on raiding.

And for bonus no Raid tier sets. BfA has no return value at all after its gone there is nothing to go back to collect from raids which is extremely stupid decision considering lots of people are still returning to 15+ year old content to do that.

I like your guild name reminds me of the British series only fools and horses.

Why do people always think we care why they quit the game ?
Why do people think we care about their lives at all ?

Why do you care that they post?

Not everybody is the same, I myself don’t mind posts such as the first two, as they give reasons for why they are unhappy.

If nobody cares about anything, why would anybody post anything?

Or maybe they are asking for others to say if they agree or not?

I can tell you. You feel frustrated and let down - especially if you have been subbed faithfully for years.

You just need to vent… and you do hope for change.

I know the reasons I tried explaining it of course but sometimes people misunderstand my good intentions towards someone because of my lack of diction.

Yes of course.

If nobody would voice their opinions we would live in a world ruled by men like certain dictators from WWII.

Also you seem to care enough to post your i don’t care opinion so…

Time gates have always been a part of MMOs. Raid lockouts have always been a thing and many reach a point where they only log in to do their weekly raid and then log off. The thing I dislike is that the current time gates are all about currency per minute, not about actually doing something interesting. You log in, press some buttons without thinking too much, get your currency and log out. Might as well just give you the currency for staying logged in long enough. Warmode is a vast improvement to the game and imo it shouldn’t be optional - always on for everyone. Because it adds a sense of danger, challenge to the world. Of course no mob can match you, but players can.

And someone will say “but what if I don’t want to” and to that the answer is that WoW is in the state that it’s in because it tries to cater to everyone. So it cannot be challenging, because Blizzard wants someone with 2 brain cells to be able to at least do the world content.

I will be that someone

I think we have debated this before Popgligor, now personally I like pvp, but others may not. I don’t believe forcing anyone into content that they dislike is a good thing. What I have always loved about WoW is that they do try to please the masses rather then cater to a certain niche.

We had that prior to Warmode - namely pvp servers.

Personally I’m not into pvp at all, but they shouldn’t have abolished pvp servers - if you don’t like it, play on a pve server (which i did).

I wouldn’t advocate for pvp to be mandatory if Blizz just made the open world interesting. For me, this is the quick fix - warmode adds challenging enemies to the world, it immediately becomes interesting. Sure, you die sometimes, but it’s okay. You’re encouraged to group up, to cooperate with your faction, it’s almost as if the game is an MMO. They can have similar challenge without pvp, just make enemies in the world tougher and kill some of our ability to infinitely self-heal during combat and it’ll be perfect. Also pvp will be more fun with less self-healing.

Most of people’s " imaginary " problems would disappear with good class design atm and a lot of bug fixing.

That’s my opinion on the matter, BFA is a good expansion plagued with many small annoyances and a really bad core ( class design )

I see your point and it would be fun if the open world was made more interesting, but as you say they could make enemies in the world tougher or I am sure others will come up with better ideas.

I still say forcing people into content they dislike (like pvp) is not a good way to go, but same as yourself, this is just my personal opinion

Attention wh…seeking?
Edit: Besides…there are people who simply must screenshot and facebook every food they ate and every detail what happened in the toilet. So this is the WoW version of that.
