Does anyone know percentages?

Probably:

Rapid Fire damage increase is 10% > 5% in pvp

Reset chance is 10% and 100% more shots > 5% and 50% more shots in pvp.

People just hyped too early.

rapid fire already does like 40%+ of your hp during trueshot. add 5% damage and 50% more shots and thats now 65-70%.

I got it you are troll but atleast you should have known that Trueshot doesn’t increase damage of any skills. So you would have been more classy troll.

The issue of that set is it merely the return of Double tap but AS PROC

In DF S1 Blizzard removed double tap so MM could have damage on aimed shot and rapid fire outside of it

they removed double tap, aimed shot and rapid fire felt weak
So they buffed it overtime so MM is back to balanced damage

With that set you have double tap of a good rapid fire ( not the rapid fire of DF S1 )

I will tell you what will happen : everytime it will proc that will be a MASSIVE burst that 100% gonna force a cooldown

“yeah but it need to proc !”

That was supposed to be the bad side of it
but what if it proc twice in the row ?

The first rifle people will be able to handle it
but a second rifle next to it very few will survive

And that not while using trueshot

That mean you will have used soo much defensive that you will have none versus trueshot

Trueshot must stay the burst of Marksmanship since it is readable and predictable
That proc set is out of control

The risk of that set in PvP risk to nerf instead of the set to nerf rapid fire
and make it undirectly nerf trueshot burst and overall damage of MM

That set need a serious shutdown if MM have to be unbalanced %attack power on spell of rapid fire and it repercution on Trueshot

There won’t be any issue. Still worse than many other classes. Depicting this as Double Tap is just shallow.

With 5% chance, you won’t see more than 2 procs in a 10 minutes long battleground. If you aren’t convinced, consider Windrunner’s Guidance procs. It has a %12 proc chance. How many times it procs in a bg?

Rapid Fire does around 140k to plate wearers. 140/2*2 = 140k overall damage increase for 10 minutes. People can’t analyse what they read nowadays (not to you).

On PTR right now i tested :

1 proc of only tier set rapid fire alone = 434k damage PvP dummy

1 aimed shot + rapid fire = 382k damage PvP dummy

1 is only 1 rapid fire so under 2 seconds

the other one is 2.5 seconds + 2 seconds

we have 880k health on PvP situation

a cloth would litteraly obliterate on this just for a tiny proc even if you -20% of it with versa

The tier set add way too much damage
making the balance around that proc
and not basic spell

Even tested on PTR and it kept proccing for me on the PvP dummy. Just not sure how much different it would be in a BG. :person_shrugging:

MM will be absolute gatekeeper for cloth and leather wearing specs. It feels it needs some sort of rework (I know… we are already tired of them). It’s one of the few specs still only being able to deal physical damage. Imo it needs damage nerf but armor piercing spell. Or Trueshot to deal magic damage but in the current form it’s just toxic against low armor and pepe against plate wearers.

Btw same goes for Outlaw after they removed Find Weakness from it.

I hope it will have decent proc rate so worth to lose of useful stats.

We have heard enough nerf news about mm so far. It is time to compensate.

What mm nerfs news are you talking about? And what kind of compensate do you deem yourself needing because of it?

and you also use your on use trinket during trueshot. idk why you’re trying to pick a fight over things you can literally find out yourself in 20 seconds by typing ‘trueshot’ into your talent tree.

interesting that you call me a troll but you can’t even find the courage to post on your main in a video game forum lol

next

edit: nevermind, found you:

why not just post on this character?

Just tested the new bonuses on the PTR.

2-set: Rapid fire damage increased by 20%
4-set: Spending 10 focus has a 3% chance to do the double tap thingie

Note: these are not reduced in PVP yet - the devs fogot the set the 50% reduced modifiers

Now we have to wait and see what exactly will be reduced by 50%
2-set: 20% more damage to rapid fire → this will surely go to 10%
4-set: will it be 1.5% on 10 focus spent do to 50% more rapid fire damage, or it will still be 3%

Either way, these bonuses are so good, even if the 4-set only reset rapid fire, I would still play it.

here comes the forum cry babies before testing it out

remember guys , MORE HEALING, MORE HP, MORE DEFENSIVES ( warlocks have 100% more armour , demon skin) etc

you guys are so dramatic … wait and see

  • i swear i feel like people were expecting the tier set to do Negative damage?

the problem is rapid fire is a particularly toxic ability esp into wizards because you can stand behind a pillar while channeling it, and they in turn can’t stand behind their pillar to block it. its like a cast-while-move void torrent, and buffing it by 50% increased shots and 10% increased dmg is definitely going to result in many random ‘100-0 in a rapid fire’ clips

you don’t need to be a genius to see that this is going to be the case. you can literally log onto the ptr now and try it out yourself. ret pala rework was on the ptr too, everyone knew it was going to be op. the point of this thread is to laugh at the long-running comedy that is day 1 week 1 month 1 balance every season.

we can laugh now or laugh in a few weeks time when 2-4 sets start coming online. i prefer to laugh now.

you can stand behind pillar casting any channell spell or ability

the only time i have ever 100-0 someone was during a glass cannon build where you stack mastery and had double tap

this isnt double tap , its 50% and a 3% chance to proc… meaning you cant use it in an opener

3% chance to proc is VERY low

oh btw… ASSASSANTION ROGUE gets a new skill that instantly kills you below 35% hp
