This is still not fixed.

Still having this annoying issue. Everything is same and unfixed. And when i seek help, they are acting like this problem dont exist. And when i tell them there are many people suffering from this, their answer is they may seem same but they are different. I cant reach them with honesty… If pre-patch wont fix it, nothing will fix it… Will wait for wed. Then peace out.

Seems like fixed in prepatch

Not for me. For me the problem came back in the prepatch.

It might be that something was reset in the prepatch and that’s why it’s back… (The DX 11 approach never worked for me so it shouldn’t be that.)

Pure optimization for our money. Here you go, people!

Still happening to me during pre patch as well. Literally doesn’t happen in any other game or in Classic, it’s pretty sad. Was hoping this was going to be resolved :frowning:

I’ve been having this problem since re-subscribing for the pre-patch. Earlier in the year when I was playing at the beginning of the lockdown there were no issues.

In my case the game runs butter smooth for 2-6 hours (depending on what kind of zones I visit, pre-legion zones can run for longer) before getting a freeze. When the game freezes it sometimes recovers after 20 seconds or so, but it also often completely locks up my entire PC and I have to force shutdown. Doing Raids or even long Dungeons is nerve-wracking as I have no idea how long I can play before the game locks up. If the game was just crashing it would be less pressing, but this leak can mess up a player’s entire computer. We NEED this resolved before the expansion launches.

After playing for extended periods of time OR flying into a zone which has an invasion my game crashes (and Windows explorer) because of a ‘Memory not available’ error. It seems to incredibly spike in the RAM-memory department. This happens whether i have other or no other applications open.

16Gb DDR4 2667Mhz memory, i5-8300H, 1060 GTX 6GB.

I’ve tried multiple Nvidia drivers. Switching to DX11. <–Didnt work
Lowering settings also did nothing. My usual settings are the recommended with the shadows turned to low/fair.

Reading this topic, its a persisting issue apparently?

I have 2 PC, old and new.

Old pc doesn’t have any issues  with spec:

  • AMD FX-8320 FD8320FRHKBOX
  • Gigabyte GA-970A-DS3P (sAM3+, AMD 970 / AMD SB950, PCI-Ex16)
  • HyperX DDR3-1866 16384MB PC3-14900 (Kit of 2x8192) FURY Black (HX318C10FBK2/16)
  • GPU MSI PCI-Ex GeForce GTX 1060 OC 3GB GDDR5 (192bit) (1544/8008) (DVI, HDMI, DisplayPort) (GTX 1060 3GT OC)
  • Chieftec GPS-650A8 650 W
  • Kingston SSDNow A400 120GB 2.5" SATAIII TLC (SA400S37/120G)
  • Toshiba 2TB 7200rpm 64MB DT01ACA200 3.5 SATA III

New PC has issues while using chrome, wow freezes (no matter on how low background fps i set on or off):

  • Intel Core i9-9900K 3.6GHz/8GT/s/16MB (BX80684I99900K)
  • Asus ROG Strix Z390-E Gaming (s1151, Intel Z390, PCI-Ex16)
  • HyperX DDR4-3000 32768MB PC4-24000 (Kit of 2x16384) Fury RGB Black (HX430C15FB3AK2/32)
  • be quiet! Dark Power Pro 11 850W (BN253)
  • Samsung 970 Pro series 512GB M.2 PCIe 3.0 x4 V-NAND MLC (MZ-V7P512BW)

  • GPU MSI PCI-Ex GeForce GTX 1060 OC 3GB GDDR5 (192bit) (1544/8008) (DVI, HDMI, DisplayPort) (GTX 1060 3GT OC) (waiting to get my hands on 3080)

I tried to use iGPU for both processes, i tried to have wow on either or them and chrome on the other gpu, i tried to have both running from GTX 1060, it doesn’t do anything. I tried all the GPU and hardware setting related but nothing works.

So while using old AMD cpu, everything works perfectly. But on 9900k i am stuck with issues. It feels like Intel prioritize chrome process, while AMD spread power across everything simultaneously.

If i swap from the loading page to another completed one, everything is fine.

lookin back at this topic remind me how this company works
