Fresh realms is a good idea but 90 days isnt long enough.
People already dont want to risk wasting time leveling on the server just for whales with 200k gold worth of mats transfering to the server after 90 days and destroying the economy.
It makes more sense to just stay on your current realm with a messed up economy than to level up on a fresh server for the economy to be messed up after 90 days.
The period before transfers should be never, but blizzard needs the micro transactions so realistically boosting and transfers should be locked for at least 180 days otherwise the fresh servers will be dead on arrival.
He is referring to the planned fresh servers for WotLK classic where you’ll start from 1 again without whales or established guilds, then after 90 days anyone can transfer to it.
In theory it will open when there will be a problem with the realm = low population = no one will transfer to a dying realm and likely after a short while instead free transfers to said realm they will have to give free transfers out of it IMHO without some guild transfer incentive/tool it won’t work.
They can open in maliciously at high pop and early-ish but it will be clearly visible if they do so
The only timelimit is people. If everyone helps nourish the community and shun the bad practices, they won’t set root. But slowly people get tempted and become a part of the problem. If we get a permanent lock on transfers, it will help greatly keep the scum in their containment megaservers, where they should stay.
It would be ok if they allowed transfers after 90 days if your character has a small gold cap. Then as time went by, the gold cap was increased. Simpler fix imho. I’ve never been a rich player. I always concentrate on self sufficiency as much as possible or if I’m playing in a good guild we all club together to help each other. Stay away from the auction house as much as possible! This is the way.
