9.1 patch release date/BETA?

One famous streamer speech. He said its take more time. August - September?

Random streamer looking for clout by saying something controversial (and probably true) and then spreading it across the forums.

But where is beta 9.1 then? They said it will come right after 9.0.5. But there is TBC.

that’s what we’re all asking…

You have a source for this?

With zero response?

I thought we were looking at June. That’s already way too long. In that amount of time we used to get BOTH x.1 and x.2 patches, with 9.1 it’s just one.

But if June is apparently too close and the real date is closer to August or even later… that’s a total disaster.

I am not going to say SL is going to kill WoW, no, WoW will continue to live. But it looks like SL is succeeding at sucking all hope and whatever small wins the game might have had as well as half of the remaining life out of it. After BFA we needed something invigorating. Instead we got this disaster.

By the looks of it 9.1 should be around june.As we do not even have Ptr up yet.

I bet we’re getting 9.1 in August…

It’s hard to expect it in June if there are no patch notes or anything. Nothing on PTR.

I’d say august, but hopefully after that the lockdowns will be gone and the release cycle will get back on track.

we can do only speculations, my guess is too August

July/August would be a nice estimate. We are STILL reeling from Covid, California is doing pretty bad with so many lockdowns and restrictions too so it’ll be done when it can be done.

I wasn’t expecting it any time soon tbh. I know some thought it would be along shortly but I figured it would be more like Summer. I also don’t think they are going to release things at the same time. Like TBC Beta is out now.

as somebody who played all through WOD , im getting serious warlords vibes from shadowlands.

Wouldnt be suprised if 9.1 is the only patch we get and they have cut their losses and moved most of the devs onto the next expansion.

Unlike wod cant say id be disappointed this time, cant stand the theme of shadowlands.

Honestly the best thing one can do is to take a break until 9.1

It could be a month or 2 after it’s been released on PTR.
The new area, dungeons and raid will need testing.

I don’t know why people still attribute this disorder to covid, its not that. In this industry working from home is not even a new thing, used to work way before.

Reason why 9.1 is delayed is simple. They had to pull emergency life booster in terms of 9.0.5 and had to redirect some work on TBC.

This is similar case to 6.1 when they just don’t have enough manpower to handle many things at once.

They said it during Blizzconline.

Its safe to assume the resources required for TBC are close to non existent as that doesn’t require regular development. Unlike Classic they didnt have to go for a hunt to get the data again. TBC data is still present and was never discarded. Its tweaking what they do for TBC at best.

The manpower problem is more of a result of covid and other reasons. Also there arent even 500 guilds that have cleared mythic yet. The tier is still relatively young if we disregard the christmas time. TBC is there to have something in between to pass the time until 9.1 hits the servers. Or as a main thing for those that main classic.
