-Echoing Resolve needs to be increased from 20% extended CC duration to 40-50% so it would have a downside. While I understand that Warlocks are finally able to play into some matchups it’s just ridiculus to play into them by specs with no spammable CCs. There is no way to Interrupt → Hex Mage anymore for example for any Shaman
-Resonator needs another damage nerf. This trinket gives another deadly go to Rogues when they are already able to 100-0 people with all CDs. Basically it means they can do it again in next Kidney Shot.
-Aegis trinket needs to include physical damage. Why is there only magic damage mitigation and as always physical damage is not included
Specs:
-Holy Priest - I don’t think there is much to say. This spec is way overtuned and if it gets nerfed we will see other healers more. They aren’t too weak it’s Holy Priest that is too strong. Some healing and damage nerf should be enough. Considering that Holy can play Kyrian and pump insane amounts of damage, play Venthyr and have regular go or literally play NF and be a healbot for his team it’s ridiculus.
-Demon Hunter - I understand this spec has least mechanics in the game and it needs to have huge damage but playing vs DH as caster is just abnoxious. If it is about to keep this damage then nerf Vicious Ink conduit. If 20% damage reduction on Warrior is too much why this disgusting class keeps it. Literally as caster + healer this is unplayable and unwinnable. He does more damage has almost permanent uptime and take no damage. If we want more classes in 2v2 we need to either tone down DH damage or nerf Vicious ink in PvP by 50%
-Assassination Rogue - I don’t know whose idea was it to give NF legendary aption to give Shadowy Blades and Adrenaline Rush when popping Sepsis. This combined with 4 set is way too much. It’s almost unhealable.
-Hunters - the fact that Craven Stratagem is still in the game is just a joke
Point was more that we aren’t provided any forms of passive magic dmg reduction, unless you’re a DH, so it’s more warrented on a lot of toolkits to have something like aegis
Well, DK has Rune of Spellwarding for example and since 9.1 Armor values are reduced with every patch so it’s way lower than it was ever before and Aegis isn’t passive Magic damage mitigation but very strong anti-magic damage CD.
Echoing resolve only got 1 charge each time it’s triggered though, so can’t you get rid of it by using another interrupt on the target to get the CC out? Even if there’s no cast to interrupt, it should still get rid of the charge, doesn’t it? I haven’t tried it myself, so I’m genuinely asking.
There’s so little physical damage left in the game, that the benefit of doing so would be small. But the bigger problem is that it would disappear much faster if it would also soak physical damage when against something with physical damage.
For example a warrior+whatever, if the warrior would make it disappear as well, then the absorb would never last long enough to soak a resonator charge.
No as I’m Shaman all my CC is Hex, Lasso, Capacitor totem. So it’s extremely easy to avoid it. I’m not mage. It even procs from Roots that I don’t have. Also the only reason why Cdew and Absterge don’t play R Shaman is this trinket according to them.
Warrior, WW, Feral, BM, MM are lierally 90% physical damage.
I mean from what you’re playing with. Unless you’re talking about 2v2 with you as ele and you’re playing with a healer, then I honestly have no sympathies for you.
Feral is only that if they aren’t necro, the dots turn into magic dmg when the swarm is on a target.
But yeah, those few specs are exactly that; few.
Lots more specs in the game, most of which do magical dmg. There’s also the battlemaster trinket to use vs. pure physical if you’re so inclined.
Because it’s an aids comp, and it’s 2v2. So you want Aegis to absorb physical for 2v2 (which you could just as well use battlemaster for in those few matchups where the damage is physical, if you don’t want aegis to counter their resonator), meanwhile in 3v3 it would disappear extremely fast because despite most of the damage being taken is already magical, then it would also start absorbing those physical hits, which makes it so it’s not even guaranteed to last long enough to soak up a resonator charge when used.
Because ele got no MS effect, isn’t melee, and don’t even have a big burst (unless you count vesper) so the games are fated to go into dampening every single damn time. It’s an aids comp. Unfun for everyone.
Affli isn’t exactly a good example of what a non-aids comp looks like, you know? But at least they’ve got some “oomph” in them now, so the games don’t last forever and they take some risks because they can. It brings speed to the game. Ele+healer is the definition of anti-fun, causing the games to be so damn slow every time.
Also, who said “you can’t do it”? I’m just saying it’s an aids comp. Which it is.
I have fun playing my main spec. For me playing Sub/H Priest or Assa/H Priest is not fun because I don’t enjoy these specs. Why are you telling me what should I have fun with?
Again, I never said that. I’m saying it’s an aids comp, because it’s an aids comp. If you like it then feel free, be a sadist, but you know the pace is inherently slow vs. people that don’t screw up when facing 'em.
Also, you sure are going deep to deflect on the issue at hand which is that there are downsides to making Aegis absorb physical dmg too.
Or you can stick to 3v3 and RBGs where the spec fits in better synergy-wise. In 2v2 it’s much more fun for everyone if you play double DPS as ele, even though it isn’t as viable. Because ele+healer is an aids comp. Sadist.
