Probably. People really treat the mainstream guard guild as the god-given authority of Stormwind RP. This has been a mentality thatās existed for years now, and applies to any modern guard guild.
i dont
Iām glad you didnāt burn the Night Elf bodies, but buried them instead. Else their wisp forms could have caused another riot. :Ć¾
I donāt think it was any member of the Guard guild themself. But probably some rando telling Perroy he needs their permission.
Iād hope it wasnāt any of our members, at least.
I find that just insane, in terms of making sure these people are okay with it?
Yes, thatās the case
Iām not sure if it was a member, to be completely honest - it was on discord and I wasnāt interested in asking because my answer remained āthey have access to the forum + can join if they want + I donāt need permissionā
frick the boring guard guild
up the solo guard roleplayers !
Oh, good god!
its quite amusing bc people are so desperate that u respect the authority of the guards on an ooc level but the moment u rp as a guard outside of a guard guild u get an ooc laced /s at u that says smthn along the lines of āyou canāt just put on a tin helmet and pretend youāre a guardā bc ur āinfringingā on their rp
i once witnessed a night elf tell me, ic, that i was a fake guard on my npc guard because i wasnāt in one of the current guard guilds, despite wearing the entire stormwind guard cosmetic uniform
Isnāt the most prominent guard guild in Stormwind struggling enough to deal with a single town crier?
funnily enough the night elf told me that ic when i was playing my npc protecting u
Well thatās the unfortunate situation of it.
Iām a firm believer that we shouldnāt have to do any RP that we donāt like.
But for some reason, people swear by us OOCly. Itās really weird.
Iāve heard theyāre too busy telling 7th legion they arenāt real soldiers + too busy fining people for hate speech + too busy storming ships and arresting people for refusing to pass a piece of dead manās flesh.
Shoutout to the two healers named Threecoin, I enjoyed the effort you put into your healing role play a lot

Sir Benjamin Halmor
A steadfast soldier of the Alliance, a heroic knight who has done nothing but care for his fellow men and women. In his old age, he had grown into an easier life, but never quite managed to settle.
On this tragic evening, the worst came to pass. After hearing word of rampaging guardsmen at the keep, the old man felt compelled to investigate and see if he could be of any help, as he had done all his life.
Upon his arrival a terrible scene laid before him, thugs rifling through the pockets of the dead, disrespecting them, threatening one another. Just a moment after Halmor confronted one of them he was struck in the head with a brick, inflicting a dire wound.
Benjamin hung on to his life and was eventually mended to a decent degree by a busy wielder of the Light, who had soon rushed off to the next patient.
Yet, the heroic spirit within the man could not find peace with a simple retreat at times like these and so he took to the side of a farmer facing a death knight, trying to talk sense into the latter before another thug struck the farmer from behind. By pure instinct the knight took his heavy cane, bashing the attacker away, only to find himself surrounded by men and beast alike.
Was it intentional, was it an accident? Who knows, who could possibly tell you? A tragedy is what it is, either way. A worgen soldier, infuriated with the knightās inability to comprehend her, grasped at his hair to take him away to the stockades. Her reckless grip and yanking burst open the manās wound once more, causing him to lose his life at a rapid pace.
She lacklusterly sought to bring him to the Cathedral for mending, but it was too late. Halfway through the journey, having left a bloody trail from the keepās gate to the streets before the Shady Lady, the man fell unconcious due to the loss of blood.
A paladin as well as a Lightforged paragon tried to save him, but it was no use. Despite their best intentions, despite the endless grace of the Light, the loss of blood was too extreme, irreversible, his body could no longer sustain life.
And so, the heroic knightās tale ended with the tragic death of Sir Benjamin Halmor.
A thin slip of a Gnome wanders around Stormwind at a leisurely pace, relishing in the aftermath of the chaos with greedy, lingering eyes. He feigns sympathy for the dead and injured, the words of sorrow leaving his lungs betraying a cruel gash of a grin hidden in his bushy beard.
His heart races with excitement. He tells himself not step too close to anyone until the thumping quietensā¦
ā¦but there is so much to seeā¦ and so many eyes to watch it all.
