Honestly, 8.3âs themes/story should be an absolute birthday party of things to encourage new and interesting roleplay such as events like this. A very sudden, and probably temporarily truce between the Factions, decided only by the big boys would have probably left soldiers and regular people on both sides feeling frustrated over their leadership, especially on the Alliance given that things like Teldrassil is brushed over, or Brennadan for the Kul Tirans etc.
Add to that, the whispers of corruption, sowing seeds of discord and chaos. The void elves also being more subjected to hearing this easier.
A patch like this, even if it adds not so much in terms of its own plot and gameplay, gives us players immense opportunities to explore things, and like this event does, it should be used!
Additionally as a side-note on it, I encourage people next time âVisions of Stormwindâ rolls around to look closer. Every mob I saw in there that was humanoid was presented as a void elf, clearly a way for visions/Nâzoth to also possibly try and screw with our heads+pointing out the dangers of them.
Dude you have to imagine that people faced with the Stormwind Horrific Visions in the current content will tell you that Stormwind is not the right place for this get this in your head lol it dents my brain inwards honestly
There are others. I havenât quite cleared the entire city yet, but the very first area has humans as well, and there are dwarves and gnomes in their district.
Isnât the Champion of Azeroth the only one who gets to visit those voluntarily anyway? Anyone else heading in there would have their brains scrambled and reassembled with 5 Star reviewed insanity, lacking the legendary cloak.
Not to say that a character couldnât have been given similar nightmares, or even needs NâZoth to look unfavorably on Void Elves.
I always find it amusing that whenever some altposters pop up only to very agressive on anything remotley related to the PCU such as events, a person who likes them making a post etc, it eventually always turns out that they are just someone who was salty for being kicked from a guild for ERP or something.
Sounds like a cool event, Perroy. Shamefully I wonât be around on Thursday to help take part in rping but I can assure you Iâll be following the content with interest from my wage cage on my phoneâŚ
Hope that everyone who attends has fun in this exciting/refreshing change of course for the standard Stormwind RP evening
I forgot about the dwarves honestly, thatâs my bad! But there are quite alot of void elves mobs in there.
And yeah you are correct on this! I was just saying that it was a fun/interesting tidbit really to see, which can be incorporated into roleplay with like whispers and doubts.
You will be too busy roleplaying removing every single poster in Stormwind that day anyway I think
Why does every single altposter say this exact line with some implication that theyâre some A list celebrity to the point that even their alts are a celebrated piece of AD culture?
Come off it. I do not even know who your main is beyond âthat probably extremely new roleplayer who posts [uses magic to remove all posters lol!â emotes that anyone who has roleplayed for more than two weeks must know arenât exactly a prime time way of interacting
Itâs easier to talk big in ailing background discords that get all of ten messages a day
Consider this thread the extent of my co-ordination. Stormwind has about one million guilds and Iâm not super interested in railroading / planning who will be the officially designated hero of this scenario - thereâs many individual guard / soldier RPers & many smaller guilds that I donât feel should be left on the sidelines just because they donât have forum brand recognition
With that said, as mentioned in the OP - if some guild has a specific thing theyâd like to play out they can let me know and I will see about accomodating it (ie. if some guard group wants to RP a barricade at point X and wants to force rioters back there I can divert some of the NPC group there)
Beyond that itâs up to people to take initiative and involve themselves if they want to take advantage of an evening of free NPCâd antagonists
I would like to add something aside from this initiative. I have noticed that there is some misconception about PCU to those who arenât exactly part of us. We arenât a hivemind, we donât think in a same way, we all have different opinions even within the framework for roleplay which PCU is.
I am member of PCU, but I am not individuality hollowed existence which follows some sort of higher order from divine creature. I just enjoy roleplay.
We are very much humans which are capable of different views on roleplay and we are able to discuss it in civil manner, if you donât believe me, go ahead.
Use Check PVP, move through search history, it is all crystal clear here. That is just the single misconception Iâd like to remind in this thread.
So donât forget that, gamers.
Imagine being a member of the Alliance low on the pecking-order. You live your life as you can. Youâve also probably lost atleast someone you know to all of the wars throughout the years.
4th War begins, you hear about the atrocities comitted by the Horde. War escalates. Itâs total global conflict. You get drafted in, since Anduin wants everyone old enough to carry a stick(even farmers) to join the fight. The war is long, brutal and messy and more agressive than previous ones.
You see friends ,and fellow soldiers die. SuddenlyâŚit all ends. Not because you lost, not because you won. Because your king says that the âtrueâ villian was the big leader of the Horde, who got away scots free. You have seen specific soldiers and members of the Horde, quite happily and willingly comitt terrible war crimes. But they are hands-off, because your king commands that you should just âforgive and forgetâ.
As far as I know, this was only put together by the PCU but the point of this thread is to openly invite people to this roleplay, wherever you are an individual or someone from a guard guild I guess.
As for the point behind encouraging the use of NPCs, we donât want lawful characters to feel anxious about confronting a big mass of roleplayers who might undeniably begin avoiding consequences or forcing their own emotes (backed by the rest of their fellow rioters) down your throat. This is where NPCs come in.
As NPCs, the rioters will accept the chances of either being arrested or dare I say, killed during this explosive scene.
