I didn’t say it was bad it just won’t change anything guilds will simply fork out some gold to get speed runs with a healer/tank combo then complain on forums when they get killed/dispeled I would only support this if when logged out your buff timer still runs down.
now that I’d love to see happen. tbh that’s how buffs should work…
Imagine the extra salt that people who get dispelled will have if blizz would actually make buff timers continue offline.
I have a much better idea… make all world buffs be dispelled when you enter a raid. Let’s get rid of that plague adding unneeded tedium to the game.
If you care about world buffs and parsing - play on a PvE realm. If you want to have PvP fun then get over losing your world buffs.
Stop acting like needy whiney children!
If only it was a solution, then again like mentioned before you are creating more issues with it.
Back to the drawing table with you.
No need to fix something that’s not broken.
nah, that’d be changing the game fundamentally. just let the buffs run out regardless of being offline.
I’d love to see which of the tryhard guilds actually commits to poping all buffs in succession and then summoning their members within 15mins infront of the instance.
Well Blizzard never originally intended for these buffs to be stacked and used like this.
I don’t see why Blizzard should intervene personally you don’t NEED wbuffs if there was no wbuffs you’d still be parsing and the results would be exactly the same as no one would have them in fact it would be fairer as people who may die in raids and lose wbuffs can not compete with those who didn’t and sometimes your death is out of your hands. For players who care about these buffs then it would be better overall that you won’t be fuming after dying and feeling like the run is over in terms of competition.
The only reason these players dispel in the first place is because they know how important these buffs are to you.
I can’t wait for TBC where WB’s are no longer a thing, when your biggest raid consumable cannot be controlled by a small minority and when you don’t need to use multiple consumables. Where players don’t have to raid log their characters. I mean sure it’s going to have some problems but I feel it’s going to be less exploitative for the player base than Classic currently is. Not long now!
What I find hilarious about the whole world buff meta, is that is consider being elite/hardcore to have them for clears/speed runs, when previously using something like Hellscream’s Warsong or Strength of Wrynn was mocked and seen as being a casual.
The whole game was considered laid-back and casual compared to other MMOs back then.
This whole world buff crap is one of the worst aspect of Classic to me.
And to those who will tell me “then just don’t get them”, that’s not the way it works. If everybody in your raid has them, honesty requires that you have them too, to not be a “leech” to the other raider’s work.
The whole “log it at a specific spot a specific time, rince repeat several times” before each raid is tedious, repetitive and doesn’t bring anything to the game.
Yes it is how it works. If your mentality mismatches the rest of your guild’s raid then maybe you’re in the wrong guild. Solutions exist, find a guild that doesn’t care and plays the game the way you want. If that’s not possible, either adapt or leave.
Oh but I adapted because I want to finish Naxx. You won’t do that in a casual guild.
