Hey everyone 
I have to admit that I’m a bit overwhelmed by this server. 
Just as you read it I’m new to this server, but not to RP in general.
I’ve been doing wow rp for about 8 years on a german server and for 15 years in total. But I’ve never experienced a server/community as flourishing as this one. Compared to my current server, Argent Dawn is waaaaay more active. xD
I just checked the maps of Stormwind yesterday at ~ 11 a.m. and saw that stormwind was as crowded as it is on my server during prime time. 
So I’ve been thinking about giving Argent Dawn a try. Unfortunately I’m a bit insecure, since I’m no native speaker and I also struggle with just going IC and see what happens.
In general I have no problems in understanding what I read or hear, but writing my own stuff, expressing what I want to - that’s a different story. I have to look up terms and phrases quite often, just to find out that I (should) definetely KNOW the phrase. It’s kinda annoying, but it won’t change unless I get to use my everyday english more often.
Well… Long story short: I need practice.
So it’s not surprising that it’s always some kind of challenge for me to just go to unknown players/characters and just start rp, even though I try to create open minded and spontaneous characters. I’m always worried to annoy others with taking my time or making mistakes in spelling or whatever…
So I hope I can find a little help here, maybe a guild or group, where I may start.
Native speakers? Awesome! Then please don’t hesitate to let me know if emotes and phrases seem a bit off or wrong. I’d really appreciate that ^^
A little info about my character:
Young woman, new to Stormwind and eager to learn new things/get to know new people. Wants to become a physician/healer, no magical talents.
→ If there’s anyone playing some sort of medical training (herbalism, apothecary, medic, whatever) I’d like to try that ^^

Hey, and welcome to Argent Dawn! I hope you’ll find good times here.
To help you get started, you might want to check out The Everstill Tourney, which is still happening in Lakeshire today and tomorrow. I attended yesterday, and there were numerous guilds present.
This event could be a great opportunity to observe or connect with groups or guilds that might resonate with your character, especially if they’re comfortable striking up conversations with strangers.
Given your character’s interest in becoming a medic, many guilds might find her beneficial in their ranks. Some of the guilds I noticed at the event included:
These are just a few among many and if anything, it might give you a place to start looking! Many guilds have a page on the Argent Archives, a forum thread, or a Carrd profile, so you could always reach out to members of potential guilds you see if they have information about the guild available somewhere, if not linked from the members’ TRP profiles.

Just some words of encouragement:
- Don’t worry about not being a native speaker in English. The majority of us are not native speakers
- I know speaking with unknown characters is hard, but joining bars/tavern events is a good way to just get started. We have several organised on each faction, attended by both new and veteran RP’ers.
- Definitely join the community discords!

Welcome aboard on of the best and most buzzling Roleplay Servers out there.
As a non native english speaker myself i know how you feel.
Came here from “Der Rat von Dalaran” a few years back, so i also am german.
You have been given some great starting advise allready. Tavern events or just sitting down and one and obeserving is a good start to slowly get to know things.
Most RP is either out in the open with “Walkups” meaning you walk up to the person, or look at them, or within Guilds who do bigger events or meetings.
The later can be a bit threatening at first but don’t worry we don’t bite.
Something to keep in mind, for example Orgrimmar is very dead in terms of late night RP (3 am) when compared to Stormwind in that time frame.
It also depends on the Day of the week, most rp happens on Weekends or after RL Work hours.
But there are also some during the day.
If you have any more questions or need some more advise, don’t be afraid to ask

I had a first look at the Turney and the recommended guilds. Maybe I’ll be lucky today to get to know some new people. At least I wanna try that event in Lakeshire ^^
And it’s very relieving to know that many other players are non-native-speakers as well.

Hey!
All i have to say is, don’t worry and please take it easy. There are many people in the server who love to help anyone. And a lot of people are not native speakers. I myself am also not a native speaker so its totaly fine!
So just take it easy, go with the flow, perhaps join a guild, join some bigger discords like the larger Argent Dawn discord and just vibe. The most important will always be to just have fun within our hobby. Roleplaying with all the amazing people in the server of Argent Dawn.
