Less than 1% but how much revenue!
Doesn’t affect DPS, luck or anything for the matter.
Literally irrelevant.
They could put half of the game’s mounts in the store and we’d still have enough.
Not a valid complaint.
I was so unlucky…
Im not interested in WoW`s endgame.
I just sub from time to time in new PvP seasons to farm the new PvP mounts.
So unlucky… My sub expired while I was at 88% Ranked mount progress.
Have to sub again and I got the mount just 2 days later… Now 25+ish days gonna go to waste. Im back to 20s PvP. Endgame is boring as F.
Go play FF14 if u think WoW cash shop is bad lol
Step up, l2p and get the rewards or you will sit here crying in 5years again about fomo
Making transmogs more accessible could actually increase engagement by giving more players something to work toward, instead of locking them out and pushing them away.
PvP is already going downhill — barely anyone plays it anymore, and let’s be honest, a lot of the people who still do are only in it for the rewards(like i did in DF). If you take those away or make them too exclusive, you’re just giving more players a reason to stop participating…and i’m one of those people.
I fully agree with this. There should be a way to earn PvP sets after the season is over, but as people stated here, no one cares about “prestige” or “limited recolor version of X transmog.”
We should have a way to earn those mounts and cosmetics even after a season and not be “hard locked” out of obtaining them after a certain amount of time.
I don’t think anyone is paying attention to such things in retail, and even if they are, they look up those things and how to get them, only to realize it’s not obtainable anymore (happened to me and my friends quite a lot while playing).
Time investment?
It took me like 1½ hour of gameplay to get it on my retri last season and then I didn’t queue pvp again on it.
Ah, the ol’ “I don’t understand the issue, so it must not exist” routine—timeless. Look, if you think throwing around tired one-liners and shrugging off concerns somehow makes you sound insightful, I’ve got bad news. This is a forum for actual discussion about the state of the game—not a sandbox for people who get defensive the moment someone questions Blizzard’s latest cash grab. If you’re not interested in meaningful, grown-up conversations about where the game’s headed, maybe stick to lurking. Or go flex your surface-level hot takes somewhere they won’t be mistaken for serious input, i recommend reddit for you.
I fully agree
I don’t engage with people who aren’t intelligent.
He didn’t make a point and neither should you.
If I decide to even explain why it isn’t a problem, you better earn my time.
If I have to explain, it’s very, very worrying.
We already have that: Marks of Honor.
They have already revealed that they have brainstormed at least the lore for patches all the way to 18.x, ie. around year 2035.
Classic realms exist. Should they have deleted those items from thos realms because the players should have earned them back in the day?
BMAH. Though even at the gold cap it won’t reach the 1k real-cash mark.
Our argument goes like this:
- There are initially 1 million people that want to play PvP. Of those, 500k want old items to be available in the future, and 500k do not want it.
- The items do not become available. Of the 500k that want them to remain available, 400k quit the game because they cannot get those items for greener pastures.
- You see the reduced participation and ask the current PvP community if they want the items to return. But your current 600k community consists 83% of people who don’t want them back and 17% of people who do. So you get a biased result because the players you ask are already filtered by the choices of the past. It’s the “survivor bias” argument.
Every victory you have earned that has increased your rating, has decreased the rating of the one you defeated. There are people who may spend 10x more time than you PvPing and still not get the reward due to always being pushed back by better players, similar to the 1% stuff in PvE.
Highest rating I’ve ever achieved was 1800. It happened right during the final week of the last season. That’s with me PvPing at least 4 hours every week.
