A new race, is this a joke?!

You are literally playing a high elf, Blizz just added normal skintones and light blue+purple eyes. Why ask for something that is ALREADY available ? I’ll never understand it.

I’m not asking for Arathi or Half-elf race since I can already do that on my human.

Sometimes people complain just to complain.

That said, I do agree that the Haranir seem lame af. But it was either that or Amani Trolls and we got enough trolls already.

While I’m pretty happy about void elf customisations, it feels a bit incomplete. Void Elves still can’t have Blood Elf hair, and they still can’t be Paladins. I know some folks who would do anything to play a High Elf Silver Covenant-style Pally, for example.

If the next few panels widely expand on Void Elves and allow them to be high elves all but in name (i.e.: non-edgelord hair, more classes), that would be acceptable and I imagine the remaining high elves will finally shut up

Wild to me people call them fat.
like are you okay? do you need to talk to someone? do you have bulimia?

Well I for one love me an ugly race, I love me a beastial inhuman race, I love weird races that aren’t just human looking with cat ears or long ears or blue skin or green skin.

#Moreuglies. :dracthyr_tea:

A terrorist splinter faction who condone the murder their own kind because of politcal differences.
:dracthyr_shrug: why would you want to be part of that?

They are called allied race in the trailer.

:dracthyr_shrug: what did they mean by this?

I too would love me some ogres but you can’t just say a whole new race they made up, which isn’t based on some pre-existing fantasy template, means they lack imagination.

Its very common for elves to take up space in fantasy, just look at literally any fantasy setting and you’ll find at least 3 different races of elves, probably more, because every minor variation in their diat, look, attitude or living conditions warrents a new racial identity for the elven folk. :dracthyr_nod:
Indeed elves are an invasive Species and its only morally right to support your local elf removal services for a healtheir fantasy world.

:dracthyr_sweat: Holy dragon warriors would go so hard!

Because the quotes your character gives when doing emotes, being oom, etc. are Void Elf themed quotes. Nothing to do with the silver covenant and high elves.

Or how bad your reading comprehension is.

In the US forum and Reddit, literally EVERYONE was wondering why the Root Lands weren’t introduced and if the Haranir were scrapped.

Yep - yet another allied race that absolutely no one asked for.

No new playable class just one spec for DH;

Shockingly poor

Denial, anger, bargaining, depression and acceptance.

The Sin’dorei are the TRUE Highelves.

Remember Elisande?

Quel’dorei? You are peasants playing at nobility, all too willing to mingle with lesser races that dilute your bloodline. You are unworthy of the name high elves!

Are you sure, no one - literally no one - asked for them? Care to look deeper into older forum posts, either EU or NA?

Give it a try Jimmy.

You people can’t take a hint. I mean seriously, how deluded do you have to be to think they’ll add another belf clone, especially after they decided to let the velfs look like belfs. Get a grip.
And saying nobody wanted them is a lie, since there’s a threat on the US forums, which I know you visit, that’s been theorizing about the respective race becoming playable, with art and all.

High Elves are literally Blood elves with golden eyes…

Only priests and paladins have gold eyes.

Blood elves have green eyes because of a side effect after fel crystal using.

But blood elf is 1st of all a political/symbolic name.

You can be a deserter of the vereesa gang and come back in your people rank with your blue eyes then you re a blood elf

High elves have blue eyes.

Well lorewise. The remaining high elves were exiled by Lor’Themar back during the events of TBC because he didn’t see a way to rule the kingdom divided.
High elves refused to drain magic from other sources like the fel, blood elves succumbed to it’s addictive nature, which caused their eyes go from blue (some cases purple) to green.

With the sunwell restored and also being a fount of holy power and the arcane high elves and blood elves have now golden and blue eyes. I think it’s also lorewise the reason void elves now also got blue eyes as they also draw upon the sunwell but only the arcane portion. However there are void elf priests and a void elf paladin npc to throw a curve ball and say they call upon the holy light.

The events of Aleria visiting could be anomaly and a one time occuring event.

The main reason why people petition for high elves is in-game cultural reasons and customization (I assume this and got no reason to confirm that). I also feel void elves don’t look that appealing gear wise. The heritage armor doesn’t do it for me, compared to blood elves. I rather wish they drew more upon their Quel’dorei heritage. I hope with midnight we may see a rework of the original sunwell tier sets as they did with tomb of Sageras in legion. The sunwell sets in my opinion, screamed Blood elf. Specifically the mage one. So I hope we see something similar or have a more high elven inspired one. I noticed in the in-game cinematic that the flags that are being flown are blue again rather than red, so one can only hope.

I feel if they open more high elven like armor, toggle some settings left and right and reintroduce some Thalassian voice lines to the void elves (give a chance to turn off the doom and gloom echo voice). People would be happy.

Vereesa never left, Lor’Themar lore wise banished the elves that refused to embrace the fel.

It feels like this piece of lore has gone lost to the winds.

The remaining high elves that never touched the fel remain in exile.

However blood elves have gotten also their blue eyes back because they can draw upon the sunwell again. Some choose to keep using the fel, others went back to the sunwell.

Edit for source and passage:

“A few days later, Lor’themar journeyed to Quel’Lithien Lodge in the Plaguelands, where he visited those Blood Elves he had exiled for refusing to suck arcane magic from living creatures. He spoke with Ranger Lord Hawkspear and Aurora Skycaller, shocking them with the news of Kael’thas’s betrayal and death and the Sunwell’s restoration. Now that the Blood Elves no longer had to rely on draining magic from living creatures, Lor’themar’s intention was make amends, offering aid and supplies. Hawkspear was not having any, still blaming Lor’themar for banishing them in the first place, and angry that the Blood Elves’ new undead allies in the form of Nathanos Blightcaller had attacked the lodge. He even threatened to kill Lor’themar and send his head to Sylvanas.”

Another cheap, unappealing “allied” race.

The highelves are where they belong! With the Horde. :love_you_gesture:.
If the Alliance had not been as douchy the Blood elves (formerly known as the High elves of Quel’thalas) would have stayed with them.

emo trolls? uh ok
