A new race, is this a joke?!

their player base will still buy the epic version and play it expecting quality stuff, Getting mid tier not finished things.

Because coping bloodelves and putting a high elve sticker on them and calling that a new race is quality content

It would be just as stupid as maghar orcs and high mountain tauren or lighforged and dark iron

No, you’re just petty douchbags.

These people don’t care about consistency or facts. Only that they get satisfaction harassing others.

I mean it’s kinda fair to be petty to the guys that for weeks told us they gonna get the race they want and they gonna erase the identity of the blood elves and they gonna take our city and our lands.

Edit.
No hate for the chill high elve fans tho.
Those that want them to actually be there own race with there own identity and not just alliance elves in silbermoon kicking the horde out

That’s straight up hysteria mired in idiocy.

Adding High Elves, whom have had a presence comparable to gnomes throughout the expansions for the alliance. Would not erase blood elves culture or themes, it would only make something that already exists in plenty for the alliance playable. It would not remove silvermoon as the “horde city” for silvermoon isn’t the capital for these high elves since they have already been spread across multiple cities since vanilla.

THANK YOU

There are so many people who feel like their Blood Elves on the horde would disintegrate the second high elves are officially added when in reality it would just give the player more choice

Like children who hates the thought of someone getting a similar toy as them…

Yes there would have been ways to make high elves playable without taking away from.the horde.
But that’s not what those guys want.
They essentially want blood elves from the horde and then relabeled as high elves.

My edit may came out to late.
I have no problem with high elve fans that want high elves to be there own thing with there own identity there own city and lands.
Those guys and girls are cool.
I mean I would see it a bit as a wast to have the same race three times in the game but if it’s for the alliance and the horde gets something else why should I care.

This is specifically about those who fanatics.
They last few weeks we had many discussions and it always starts the same.

First it’s we want high elves.
And then it turns into we also need neutral silvermoon then too.
And the lands.

And then it spirals into taking the blood elves and turn them neutral and rename them.
To the point where they tell us we horde didn’t deserve elves in the first place.

And they don’t actually want to discuss anything cause if you try to they start to just answer with stuff like this.

 neutral silbermoon coming in midnight
:star_struck: alleria as leader of all elves :star_struck:

Some even outright said they are excited to take stuff from the horde.

So with those guys I’m ok to be petty to be honest

I would not speak, but have to, so night elves live on trees

Those guys Being, what one or two power-using idiot on the forum.

The majority of us don’t even care about anything special added for High Elves. We just want the freaking consistency for what blizzard have been dangling in our faces since vanilla.

Then we two don’t have beef.

Them you are one of the chill ones of the realistic ones and for you and your comrades I’m sad that you didn’t get high elves.

But I specifically was petty in this post because the op was one of those “we are gonna take your elves” guys

Blood Elves are Blood Elves. The tragic story of how they’ve endured after genocide, and resorting to desperate measures to survive. I would have preferred them in the Alliance but the milk has been spilled.

But if/when high elves are added, I would like the Blood Elves to keep their identity. Their red motifs. Their heritage armour. Their darker nature (which has been neutered by the purification of the sunwell). That’s theirs and it should stay theirs.

What we want are the Elves who were originally from Silvermoon but disagree with the direction the rest of their Horde brethren have taken. The people who did not resort to fel magics and still hold tight to their traditions. The High Elves who are a bit more rugged as a result of their exile from Quel’thalas.

Don’t even need that. High Elves got 2 other settlements in EK and one in outland. Then there were those living in stormwind and dalaran.

And I wish you get those asap.

I honestly do.
The races I wish for will never be playable like arakkoa or ethereals so I absolutely wish for those that have more realistic wishes then me to get them fulfilled.

But I will stay petty to those fanatics I talked about.

I’m confused about the new race, too… Unless I missed a vast amount of the story, their addition does seem to have come out of nowhere. Having said that, I feel their inclusion in the TWW cinematic is also a little odd, considering how little they had to do with the story this expansion.

I’ve only seen the story from Alliance side. Maybe it’s different for the Horde?

Thank you, and while I have some scepticism about how Ethereals would work (e.g.: no facial features), I nevertheless would be happy if you get your arrakoa and ethereals.

I think we can all agree, whether helfer, pro-Ethereal, or pro Amani, that the Harranir being the Midnight allied race has us all raising our eyebrows (ok, most of us, some people actually did want them)

Least etherials do have the issue that their defining traits would be covered by armor.

Arokka, less of a problem, just let the feathers clip through the armor. As for helmets gestures wildy towards worgen.

Yeah. It’s neat that they added the missing link between trolls and night elves… But man, it’s another left field race in favor of what’s already been requested since forever.

It strangely feels like someone jumped the queue. They were requested, but they aren’t as popular as the other options, nor have they been around for as long.
