A Review of Midnight's current UI: A Promising Start That Can't Yet Replace a Legacy

Ill be honest mate, if you actually play the way you claim to play you would frustrate the living hell out of me, I wouldn’t flame you or leave but it will be a nightmare to get trough that run.

But I also assume you can actually read group titles and wouldn’t join my runs. There are ppl who like to play that way… especially those a little older and slower like myself.

And in most games on the market, you couldn’t do that either… you probably couldn’t even change the font size of the chat.

Many ppl so worried about losing their addons now are just incredibly spoiled. I’ve always made do with the base UI and it works fine. It’s a skill to learn to do the best with what there is.

Yes I do. Which brings us back to

Sorry if this sound condescending, but literally want to slow down the game to your level, when the whole idea of the mode is fast pace. I mean nothing wrong with wanting to go slow, I get it, some people want that, but the broad appeal is “infinetely scalling” + “beat timer”. You literally said you are just there for mogs and path of least resistance due to delves being boring. I can’t even understand your arguments half the time.

Your highest M+ FoS is KSM, you are pulling 1 pack at a time, because you cannot keep track of more mobs, you have not learned to do best with what there is… Is this a troll? You are contradicting yourself almost as much as Erevien? Did he start doing M+ and now arguing about game mechanics instead of “Alliance Bias”.

Yeah, I get that often. My brain works different than that of many ppl. :man_shrugging:

In the past, without the timers, all people were more chill in dungeons. I think with timers beign more forgiving, ppl would also be nicer to each other again. Someone lagging behind or having to go afk for a spell would be less bad. If devs see that with their base UI ppl can’t handle 20 mob pulls, they will have to give everybody more time in dungeons, so everybody can be more friendly again.

I could go higher, but there is no need. Hero track drops in +6 and upgrading hero track is enough to get mythic tints, so why would I go higher making stuff harder for no reason?

While I agree with that notion; why not just stick to delves then?
They give mythic tints and are way less hassle than having to deal with M+ers.

Oh, I did so mostly, but delves are so slow. You only get 2 hero track items per week (and only 2 vault slots, decrasing chances to get the slot you still need at wednesday) and most of the times it’s for the same slots - and also slots that can’t even be mogged (useless trinkets)… that’s why I need to do M+ to get the items for the slots that don’t drop in delves… or to quicker have all the slots so I can go and collect the mog with my next char. Aaand delves get a little lonely and boring with time. I like to play with other ppl at times… but I don’t want to do that in delves, because taking the time looking for other ppl to do content I could just as well do solo seems weird to me.

Then ask for a freaking new game mode. Oh and btw since you are after mogs, +6 isn’t you cap, 2500 score is since it unlocks transmog options for your sets.

  • You can get 3 slots if you want.
  • I suppose your experience isn’t mine. I’m getting a wide range of hero items.
  • If you play to get the mogs, more than anything, alts are nice for that.

Fair enough. Can’t say I quite understand your point of view, but it is what it is.
From my point of view you’re only making things harder for yourself, instead of easier.

I’m staying away from M+ because for me content like that would ruin my gaming experience and if I play them long enough; I would eventually despise WoW for ‘making me do that’.

Or it would open your mind to new horizons, and then start hating the game because stupid dev changes.

No. It really wouldn’t.
It’s just not the type of gaming I’m into anymore.
I used to be… 15 years ago or so.

I guess I’m wise then for enjoying the game the way I do. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Its nothing like what it used to be 15 years ago.

C’mon live a little make some WoW friends.

I’m living my best WoW life. Alone with my pets.

But I have servent… pets too. It would be really cool to have a pet date in an M+ dungeon. Think of all the fel doggies.

Hm? What do you mean? Some glow effect like we had in DF? It’s ok, I can live without that. I usally like the more subdued sets anyway. None of my characters are the Champion of Azeroth, so too flash stuff doesn’t suit them aynway.

Yeah, but only with more delve loot, and delve loot is overloaded with trinkets sadly. … And getting a 3rd slot in a row is much less efficient than unlocking a 1st or 2nd in another row. I like to play efficient.

May, up to + 6 it’s fairly easy… and works without fancy addons. But yeah, to each their own, as long as it doesn’t hurt others.

And when my dog irl wants to play for a bit, I’ll leave my pc for a bit without warning.
If I’m craving a cup of hot cocoa, I’ll be getting one when I want.

Are you okay with that?

Then alts are most efficient.
Just do 2 lvl 8 delves on them. Many more chances for the mogs you want.

Yes the glow effects are from the myth set you are running +6s to get. If you have the 2500 achievemnt you unlock the glow effectss for LFR/NM/HC and the non-glow for the Myth one.

Yeah sure, np.

I wasn’t making an offer, to be clear. M+ will remain off the table. :kissing_heart:

I was just saying that I like to play WoW in a manner where I’m not obligated to anyone what I do and when I do it. Either in game or irl.

I do appreciate your perseverance, in a weird way. :kissing_heart:

You will break one day, they all do.

Ah, okay. Nah, I don’t need those, but thx for telling me. … I’ll keep hoping the 3k tint of the mount is an ugly one so I don’t need to get that. xD Was lucky thus far.

Hm, if I have to play more than one char of each class, it gets a little stressful… it’s usually already a hassle to get the mythic tints for several classes each season… but I guess I can keep the idea in mind.
