aye, my dwarf had fun drunkenly throwing darts
Yet another Last Friday of the Month draws near! Bring on the dwarves!
I wish I could bring Tharien to one of these. Unfortunately, for purely OOC reasons, he would most likely end up eaten by the guards. Can’t wait until Void Elves get High Elf customizations so I can finally faction-change that big bastard to his IC faction.
In less then an hour!
I was quite late, but I still got to hear a couple of stories and a half, and meet some nice, new people
So, I’ve been thinking…
Do you guys have any ideas on how to make the Forge events more… dwarven in nature? I think it would be a pity if they turned into general social get-togethers when they could have their own flavour instead. My ideas are:
- Move the gathering to the nearby bar, Bruuk’s Corner. Many more assets to interact with (two floors and a balcony!), easy access to food and drink that we don’t have to make up. Also chairs, which are a trademark of a civilized society.
- Dwarven Deals! A dedicated spot (could be one of the tables at Bruuk’s) for dwarven merchant to sell their wares. After all their craftsmanship is famous for a reason! More interaction between roleplayers, woo!
- Drinking contests. This one is self-explanatory. With a separate category for outsiders, just to keep things fair.
- Dwarven Gossip? If you’re a dwarf, come up with one or two minor things to mention about the smaller things happening in the dwarflands. An eastern outpost attacked by troggs again? New fascinating fossils delivered to the museum in the Hall of Explorers? A summer fruit sale hosted by Bimble Longberry? Let’s talk about it!
What do you think, my dwarves?
Was fun Gravel enjoys meeting new and interesting people
I had fun, sadly had to go.
at least I told my story
My Dwarven knowledge is a wee bit thin, but I agree that An Evening at the Forge definitely should have a distinctive Dwarven … “flavor”.
I absolutely want non-dwarves to feel welcome and appreciated, but I also want them to feel without a doubt that they are attending a Dwarven gathering …
… Whatever that turns out to be
I like your idea and initiative, Linaria, and I fear I don’t have enough power juice nor time on my calloused Dwarf hands, to be the Dwarven driving force behind this endeavor.
I have another Idea, how about making a monthly brewfest?
dwarven flavor, still flexible for people, can be relocated to a tavern, and gives a non generic feeling.
A stout idea! The Beer Garden behind A Hero’s Welcome in Dalaran would serve perfectly for such gatherings.
I say perhaps put the suggestions in the first post and leave it to the community. If people enjoy the ideas, they will act upon them.
I do have a dwarf who can join, but but if it’s dwarven-only, who can Yang talk to when it comes to brewing ?
These events are not dwarven-only!
And Lana is always happy to talk about booze, especially with a Pandaren–everybody knows that, other then dwarves, they are the only reasonable drinkers around.
today today!
I’m busy outside of Azeroth, but I hope much nice people will meet and have a good time, ideally with at least one dwarf to “set the mood”
We actually had a Dwarf majority (joined by two Draenei and later a Night Elf) and plenty of drinks! Some tension between the clans but nothing that resulted in an incident.
It’s this week! everyone prepare!
tomorrow !!
Up to the top with you, my dear dwarven companion!
Ah dunno ‘bout evryone else, but come Friday evenin’, ah feel like takin’ a break from smashin’ undesirable undead abominations, an’ havin’ sum cold beer in Ironforge, an’ perhaps hear how the apocalypse is treatin’ ye
