[A-RP] Ashenvale Story Night 📚

Imgur

< A poster could be noticed in night elf settlements across Kalimdor and Amirdrassil. The aesthetic of the invitation includes ethereal colors like moonlit blues, purples, and greens. The date is wrapped in lush inked boughs, with night elves gathered around a campfire beneath. >

“Under the ancient trees of Ashenvale, we once more gather for an evening of tales and song. You are invited to join your kin and trusted allies around the campfire, to share your voice — whether recounting heroic feats of the past, recalling mysterious encounters with spirits and shadows, or spinning whimsical tales brimmed with laughter. Weaving the fabric of our history and imagination, we nurture the art of storytelling under the starlit sky of our beloved homeland. Come, and let your tale be heard.”

Date: 1st of November 2024

Time: 20:00

Location: Near Astranaar, by the campfire & tents behind the lake (north)

Faction: Alliance
Contact: Acrona OOC, in-game Moonhearth during the event

I think it’s due time to bring this back! Aimed at characters that are part of or affiliated with the kaldorei society, the purpose of the event is to help players interested in night elf themes connect with each other. Both guilds and individuals have the opportunity to showcase their activities, taste and creativity.

The narratives can draw inspiration from both recent and historical events in lore, guild adventures, or your character’s individual escapades - no matter whether they’re true or fiction. There’s no requirement to sign up in advance.

If you’d like to share something, please prepare the story ahead of time, and split it for presenting at a comfortable pace In Character. In order to give multiple people a chance to share their piece, a single story should take no longer than 20 minutes to present, and may be just a few minutes short as well.

Players are welcome to come listen without obligation to share a tale of their own. The Listener AddOn may be helpful to keep track of the stories.

Is there a special sign up process if we want to participate?

Hi! No, there’s no need to sign up in advance. Just turn up, and the hosting character will inquire who may have something to share and we’ll go from there!

Oh! Seems I did miss this thread!

I shall do my best to attend, and prepare a story from the times of the Empire to tell!

The date is fast-approaching, yet there’s time to cook up something for it! :writing_hand:

This is tomorrow! Looking forward to hearing what stories people come up with.

As do I! If you’re not off questing to spook your neighbourhood this Halloween, then gather 'round! :ghost: :open_book:

I’ll be online as Moonhearth, and rest assured, this grandpa chef is on a mission to keep everyone’s bellies full and spirits high as the tales unfold! There will be food and drink aplenty, and perhaps…a chicken in attendance—but not on the menu! :chicken:

Thank you all so much for coming! :purple_heart:

One of the reasons I love hosting events like these is that they offer a setting where it’s fine to just quietly observe without feeling like an outsider in the scene, which can be helpful for getting a feel for how others roleplay if you’re new around. I know we had a couple of folks for whom this was their first roleplay event, and I truly hope they enjoyed themselves.

And there was no shortage of stories! Below screenshots of the event, and everyone who had a piece to share.
