Restarting this ages old forum initiative for anyone who might wish to give night elf themed roleplay a shot, but isn’t quite sure where to find people or what’s happening when - or what these long-eared folk are all about. This post is not meant to be a how-to-play guide by itself, but rather a brief and informative resource to assist players who wish to explore the theme.
Night Elf Lore 
What's their story?
One can read up on night elf lore for free on Warcraft Wiki. Formerly known as Wowpedia, the website was split from Fandom and moved to wiki.gg in 2023. It’s a great site for finding information about anything and everything related to the setting, with sources provided (in-game, books, etc.).

The night elves have a lot of lore, owing to their prominent role in the ancient history of Azeroth. Please be reassured that comprehensive knowledge is not a prerequisite for roleplaying a night elf. It would be beneficial, however, to have a general understanding of how their society operates, as well as recognize the race’s involvement in the major wars.

The night elf scene on Argent Dawn has always been of roaming nature, the activity in settlements spiking and dwindling on repeat, never a constant all year long.
The recurring hubs currently are Amirdrassil and Astranaar.
If you struggle finding people to casually play with, the Amirdrassil discord server has a ”looking for roleplay” channel that might help.
Guilds tend to travel the world for their own campaigns and events from time to time, and in order to catch them about recruitment, you better reach out to the guild’s officers.

Discords 
Amirdrassil, Night Elf Roleplay Discord
Amirdrassil Discord Server was created by Jai’are and Morningtide in late December 2023. It has since become the biggest discord revolving around night elf roleplay on Argent Dawn. Despite its name, night elf themed roleplay initiatives happening outside Amirdrassil are advertised there as well. People are welcome to share their character profiles, in-character rumours, artwork and stories on the server.
Please note the Discord server is not representative of the night elf scene as a whole.

This is a 13+ server and we do not verify the age of our members. As a rule of thumb: if it’d be inappropriate to post on the realm forum, don’t post it here either.
While a Community Server should strive to offer acceptance to all members, we reserve the discretional ability to ward someone from the Community, without waiting, should they have a documented history of:
- Discriminatory, offensive jokes and language, or hate speech (which calls out a group by their race, nationality, sexuality, gender, political alignment, religious beliefs etc.)
- Offensive, derogatory, or sexually explicit content in posts, usernames, or profile pictures
- Vulgar, obscene, gruesome, disgusting, or gore content
- Encouragement, trivialising, glorifying or promoting, in general, self-harm or suicide. That includes any content that encourages others to: cut or injure themselves; embrace anorexia, bulimia, or other eating disorders; or commit suicide rather than, for example, seeking counseling or treatment.
- Verbal or other abuse, flaming, harassment, sincere insults, or threats towards others
- Doxxing
- Sexual harassment
- Stalking
The list may be expanded in the future.
Because of these precedents, we deem it fair and just that membership of this community is something that will either be explicitly denied, or has to be earned with an extra layer of scrutiny. Membership is guaranteed to people who have no record of the above actions. No cross-server drama - please handle any problems between members privately. If you need to speak to a moderator you can DM them privately.
These rules are not set in stone, they are flexible and will be tweaked or adjusted over time as the moderators see fit. Major changes will be announced, minor ones will be edited in. You can not argue on the grounds of outdated rules or rules you’ve not memorized right. We recommend giving them another read every now and then.
You automatically agree to all rules upon joining this server. If you disagree with any or all rules whether in part or in full, please leave immediately.

Emerald Enclave
A community for people interested in druid cross-faction roleplay. You can read about the initiative on the Emerald Assembly’s forum thread, with a a link to their Emerald Enclave discord server.

This is a community project intent on focusing on all things Elune, and creating a space for the devout of Argent Dawn! Forum thread
