Had some very enjoyable RP with dem folks.
Good show.

A strange sensation haunted the soldiers in the lodge. Shadows seen in the corner of their eyes darting out of sight before they could catch up to it with their gaze. They feel watched. Studied.
Something has caught the attention of the void fox…
Does gangster signs and looks dumb whilst doing it. Nerd.
Having finished their time resting, and relaxing, in Quel’Danil, the Dawn finally set off for the Plaguelands. Hoping to buy some time by crossing through a spider-ridden, presumed abandoned cave. Unfortuately, it would not go to plan. Thankfully, the Dawn made it to Northpass Tower in one piece, where they will now rest, before travelling further North.

Damn, get a load of these fellas. Can’t wait to see the screenshots from events after the costumizations drop!
Another night, another mission.
This time, the Dawn, accompanied by the ren’dorei of the Starcursed, and a pair of travellers they’d picked up along the way, headed for the long since abandoned Lodge of Quel’Lithien, desperately searching for any remaining ledgers, or information, that may remain within its ruined walls. Instead, the elves found themselves facing the remnants of long-abandoned magical traps.
In just a few days, the Dawn will all start the journey of a lifetime.
This marks the end of the Plaguelands chapter of the Azure Dawn’s pre-patch(ish) campaign, but also marks the final event before our high-elven members will finally look like high elves! Safe to say, the guild is excited. Recruitment is still open, and such can be handled by contacting either myself, or Talirei, through whispers or in-game mail!
Here’s a handful of screenshots:

I’ve spent the last few days running around with this lot, and can highly recommend them to anyone looking for Thalassian Exiles RP with a military bent. They’re a great bunch.
And like so, pre-patch is upon us! The Azure Dawn was a little anemic tonight, thanks to server queues, but nevertheless moved to their new secretive base, closer to home.

Feels good to finally look like helves…
As much as I do understand of some people’s need to RP the unplayable race. Or should I say playable on the opposite faction, you guys must do understand that High Elf lore is dead right?
It became so with the introduction of the Void Elves and Blood Elf Heritage Armor questline where on Isle of Quel’danas Liadrin clearly said that Anasterian’s last stand was also the Last act of the High Elves.
Void Elves will now steal the show and they move onto completely different path. The only lore that High Elves got through out of WoW’s existence was highly reactionary to Blood Elf one. They were a convinient tool for the Alliance to butt into Sin’dorei stuff. That prupose is now gone with Ren’dorei in the play.
I do wish you guys good luck. But is it really that much of a fun to play bunch of homeless rats, deprived of their own homeland, being replaced by far more sinister void counterparts and having no future at all since the “true” Thalassians are those that live, cultivate and move forward the High Kingdom to glory.
Yes? in ten characters
actually I’mma expand this by saying that, ultimately, the enjoyment of RP for most people really boils down to character interactions. those are all great things to explore in a character - the loss of home, the disconnection with friends and family, their odd position in the Alliance and the potential for uneasy relations with their Ren’dorei cousins
who asked
guild has been around for months now without any issue. Where is it your place to come into a guild thread and rebuke the harmless (and lore friendly) enjoyment of a group of friends? The fact that void elves can finally be regularly-skinned means this is an amazing time to be a Quel’dorei guild.
They’re RPers making our own fun within the setting. Just a really rude and unnecessary post tbh.
What you’ve just posted is a sin, my’dorei. If there was no interest in the guild, there wouldn’t be a thread nearly 200 posts long outlining interest in this guild.
All you’ve done is made yourself look bad, and by extension, made your guild look bad. For shame.
Um… I don’t think it is. Since I don’t remember it being declared dead at all by Blizzard.
I wish… we all know our race is going to be forgotten for the next few years and they’ll never address the most evident of loopholes and uncertainties in our lore.
But, to get back on topic, those guys are great and probably my favourite high elf guild! Cannot wait to RP with them more.
These guys are awesome, had the pleasure to RP with them on my Void Elf. I highly recommend them.
So many nice words! But I agree, I haven’t felt as at home on a character in the longest time as I do with these guys.
As for High elves, they are all over the place! You can see NPC’s in Stormwind and other cities, as well as plenty of them in Telogrus. Yep! Telogrus! Alongside Sin’dorei as well!
Having lost our “home” is also a great trigger for RP! We have a lot in common with each other IC, and have a common goal, which creates camaraderie and closer bonds, both IC and OOC. The Dawn have something they all stride for, and one day, hopefully, it shall come true!
Thank you everyone for the kind words!
Hugs from Lasarelli/Loth/Carenne
Azure Dawn is a good guild with a level head guild leader!
Hopefully we may arrange some cross-guild events in the future!
This guild is great and all, but it has one problem.
IT’S FULL OF LOVABLE BEANS!
…Yeah, okay, that’s not a problem.
I love these people.
You mean the person who said night elves were doing nothing for 10 000 years while heroic high elves fought for Azeroth?
I know any subtlety is most likely accidental with Blizzard, but she does have the signs of propaganda machine glorifying blood elves while pretending other elves don´t matter based on her appearances in last two years.
I know this basic rule of Blizzard storytelling gets often lost on players, but pretty much every faction with roots in older lore is never going away. It´s the reason why high elves even exist despite Kael´thas saying they all renamed themselves in TFT. Blizzard can´t let their old factions go away, be it Scarlet Crusade, black dragonflight, Defias or high elves.
Literally the reason why high elves can be so interesting to roleplay. You have a character who lost their homeland, has no hopes of regaining that homeland unless they betray their friends and allies among other races, your only settlement is small village in Hinterlands (which, if we were to follow lore from comics, coped with loss of Sunwell by completely abandoning Arcane).
Sure, high elves as a race may not be as interesting as blood or void elves, but you are not RPing storyline of that entire race in context of their political future, you RP a single character.
Mine is not the will to offend anyone and their right to have fun in the way they wish to. If my post was considered as such then I would like to clarify that it wasn’t supposed to be like that.
More than anything I am intrigued by the exsistance of such a guild that follows a setting.
My interest comes from the point of view that I wouldn’t even consider playing a High Elf lest be a part of a guild formed around them in such conditions and with the knowledge that High Elves will never truly be playable.
But my question was answered and You guys do have fun. Even explained the reason behind it. So kudos to You for that.
