I recommend changing it, too easy to twist it into something unflattering and provocative like “Perroy’s Circle-something Universe” or other more inappropriate terms I’d rather not use. Better make it mock-proof.

Not liking a person doesn’t seem like a big deal to me, regardless of who that might be and why that is. When you refine that into something akin to a hate culture though, yeah, it’s starting to become a bit worrying.

That’s my point, yeah. Not liking someone is fine; it’s easy to avoid them and do your own thing on a server as large as AD. But making someone the lightning rod for everything bad that anyone remotely associated with them does is a pretty brainlet activity.

Because it’s not on a 12+ game, so the environment isn’t so exposed to children. Yet it’s still weird/has some of the same problems of potential minors getting involved.

Maybe i’m just hung up on the odd double standard here, my mistake might have been approaching this from a principled and moral angle rather than the strict “ERP is bad cuz tos” and not “ERP with minors is bad because its pretty demented and potentially harmful to the minor”

Discord has a very active moderation team where you can report discord servers and users, it’s a bit tricky to do it but after having spoken to them, I got the impression they take complaints seriously.

It’s just generally in the servers best interests to rid ERP from the server. I’m not going to discuss the discord policies and punishments over erp/grooming as I don’t know any of their policies well enough.

Yes. At least in the UK. Even if a minor solicits sexual activity from a grown up pretending to be older, it is still a criminal offence, and this applies also to the transmission of naughty material by phone or across the net.

I’m not saying I disagree with you, it’s still wrong and weird to engage in erp on any platform as the same issues of a minor lying about their age and grooming etc. However I think trying to combat pedophilia on discord is a much harder issue to tackle on a wow forum than trying to rid it from our server.

They aren’t even allowed relationships with other members of the Retinue.

So do this (mine) guild and its affiliated umbrella project, the justification Kenina mentioned (wherein drama can occur) is a really reasonable one.
