New thread yet again, as I to my dismay I discovered that I was one day too late to reply and that the other new thread had been closed for further replies, falling to the 1 month rule.

Will keep more tack on time in the future.

Stormwind Poetry Appreciation Society is a poetry club run by Bertel Wobblespring, who every second Friday of each month hosts a meeting, open for all to participate in.

The purpose of these meetings are to give everyone who might have interest in poetry a chance to share their passion.

Just show up to one of the meetings, leave a comment in this thread, or send an in-game mail to Bertel with a sample of your work.

In case you are unable to attend the meeting but still want your poem presented Bertel will gladly recite it for you if you send a copy of it to him in beforehand.

Everyone is welcome, even if just to spectate and listen.

From the first meeting:

Come to the first ever meeting in the new started Stormwind Poetry Appreciation Society, and share your poems and songs or just show your support and sit in to spectate and listen.

Everything is acceptable, be it your favorite poem or your own song.

OOC details: Just show up or send an in-game mail to Bertel with a sample of your work.

Place: At the back of Mage District in Stormwind at the pond.

Time: Thursday 8/5 20.00 (8.00 Pm) sever time.

Thanks for everyone showing up and not least everyone contributing with poems to the #100th anniversary poetry meeting, turning it into one of the best attended meetings, with some of the highest quality contributions, yet.

Also thanks to Devvy, for providing free ice cream for everyone attending, Deedi, who helped with the extended firework display concluding the meeting, and not least Valaatu who documented the meeting with some wonderful snap-o-graphs, that I soon will see to pull myself together to upload to Argent Archives, linked to the calendar event for everyone to enjoy in the future.

Here’s the poem Bertel wrote that he opened up the meeting reciting:

Humming Joyful Down the Road
.

Letting in, letting out
that is what it’s all about
letting go, welcome though
seeds of aspirations, sow

Exchange the old for something new
enjoy the glittering morning dew
reflecting out the rising sun
shun all bad that’s ever done
rays of inspiration pure
make us able to injure
all the strife that life might hold
make us strong and make us bold
every day brings somthing special
each like colored flower petals

Go where no one’s been before
seek all the world it got in store
just for you, and me as well
everything got tales to tell
important lessons too to teach
all within our very reach

Change your viewpoint once a while
for fresh ideas in every style
all the knowledge to compile
different paths for different walks
learn them all and you’ll be taught
how to counter any problem
solve them all and don’t be subtle
every riddle holds an answer
given to the perfect dancer
concept artist of invention
all it takes is your attention

Shout your pride out wide and loud
be assure without a doubt
they who master their own mind
own the world in given time
never too late to discover
all it got for you to offer
give it all you got in store
payment will be even more

Progress’s made by those who dare
imagine more than what’s simply there
need invention’s favorite cousin
deed intention’s premium muffin
forward is the only way
yet still enjoy your every stay
all points on the winding path
improving what we previous had
even road blocks lead us further
even stuff that really hurt us
we are here to overcome
limits for what can be done

Things will just keep getting better
as we strive through stormy weather
perfection is the final goal
Titans’s blueprint in our soul
as their children we are Gods
nothing will defeat us but
our own doubt in what we do
keep that in mind, keep staying true
to the nature of creation
wonder, magic and sensation
we will shape reality
to who we are and who we’ll be
humming joyful down the road
to the fate we’ve been bestowed

Mind Vent

Nothing really disappears
something stays, remind it’s there
a vague and nagging ominous feeling
waiting like a crashing ceiling
sure you missed some vital point
a supporting ledge you failed to join
every point leads to another
unattached if you don’t bother
useless like a broken watch
missing pegs on each it’s cogs
humping like a flatten tire
getting nowhere, catching fire
make you trip on every wire
weakling, coward, fool and liar

Concealed in fears from hidden tears
stowed away where you can’t reach
in small black boxes you can’t see
building preassure there enclosed
ticking bombs that will explode

So vent your mind for all it’s dread
or someday you might end up dead
burdens aren’t worth storing down
sometimes it’s allright to frown
just when done with grumbling sad
turn your frown back upside down
life is worth it’s bile, be glad
rant is over, that was that
