[A-RP] Looking for Druid/Kal'dorei RP guilds

Hello there folks of Argent Dawn!

I am getting back into WoW specifically for the roleplaying community. I have a character that I have rp’d before my last break (which I took when Shadowlands came out.) I am looking for any Druid, Kal’dorei or mixed roleplay group that may take in my dear druid. I have looked around and haven’t been able to find anything that suited her, so I thought I would reach out here.

Eala, is a character I have been roleplaying since vanilla. She is relatively young for a Kal’Dorei, but remembers the days when the Cenarion circle did not allow women into its ranks. Being a very salty bean about that, she decided to be a merc, and screw the Cenarion Circle, and all it stands for.

When the Circle did open up to women, she didn’t join for some time, doing her thing as a mercenary. Now… as a merc, she got up to some pretty screwed up stuff. Mercenaries are not heroes, and she has a fair amount of baggage related to that, one that she doesn’t talk about, and would rather pretend didn’t exist.

She finally gave in and closed herself off in Moonglade when a job went awry, and her commander properly lost it. She has been closed up there for a few years, trying to mend her mind and body. She has sworn to never hurt a person again, and instead focusing all her energy on healing, helping. Hoping it might make up for everything else.

Since you speak of healing and not hurt people
I do belive this may suit you, I do also have a few others, so let me know if this is not the guild.

The Wild Oath

I have inquired about the Wild Oath Before, but found that they are very hostile to the Horde (as in openly ignoring the armistice), so its not the best fit for someone trying their best not to hurt sapient creatures, but thank you for the suggestion!

You could try out Moonrise Hermitage.

Whereabouts can they be found?

Astranaar, in Ashenvale, usually.

Ah, I meant more… OOC wise. I saw that they have an AA page, but the last post on that is from like 7 years ago.

Don’t know, honestly. I’d suggest just logging in and whispering someone from the guild to find out more. They’re active and around Astranaar most nights, from what I’ve seen.

Really it’s been that way since BFA. With so much of that expansion focusing on the vengeance of the kaldorei, it’s the direction many night elf roleplayers have taken their characters. I’m not sure if a more neutral-oriented/Horde-accepting group of night elves are currently a thing on the server. That being said, if it’s something you wish to see - maybe you can be the one to bring that vision to life?

We have had a bit of a break, but have been active again in the past year on a more casual basis than back a few years ago that is why we do not have as many grand tales anymore.

The Moonrise Hermitage focuses more on the civilian part of Kaldorei life. But even though we are not military, we can still stand our ground. We are guided by the teachings of the Sisterhood, but many are ‘normal’ members of Kaldorei society.

We have events and stories every now and then, but we primarily focus on social RP later in the evening as mentioned before, usually in Ashenvale. You can whisper anyone of us for some more info, but you are best of finding myself or Irrissia. We are currently helping our Draenei allies, but you can always try and drop by in Ashenvale!

We are hostile towards the Horde and to other forces that hurt our forest, but there is certainly the space to keep to your oath.

An impression of the Moonrise Hermitage(don’t look at it on limitted data, it ain’t kind on your bundle):

Its Kaldorei, they don’t use ’ in their name like those savage lesser Elves!

I mean Tyrande never signed the armistice, I suppose. So its natural the Kaldorei are still, mostly, openly hostile to the Horde until Blizzards decides something different

As someone has already mentioned, most NE guilds follow that direction. Mainly because it is what the lore makes it out to be. In Exploring Azeroth:Kalimdor the Night Elves are mentioned to still be conducting skirmishes against the Horde and ignoring the armistice. How much that will change with the conclusion of SL and the start of DF remains to be seen.

With that in mind, does it have to be a Kaldorei guild ? Chances to find what you are looking for are a bit low due to the reasons mentioned above. However there are neutral guilds, for example, that could potentially recruit druids. Argent guilds for example could use a druid or two to help in revitalizing the Plaguelands.

My character is not opposed to others doing whatever they will, so long as she can uphold her oath and still actually take part in events etc.

She, and I OOC am not interested in trying to dictate that everyone uphold something that is personal to her. So far my issue has been that when discussing events etc. The vast majority have been said to be centred around combat IC.

I am currently making a new traditional Kaldorei guild with some friends, yet it won’t go active until after the time skip. It has room for pacifists and non-combat characters as long as they have something to offer to the (sisterhood) order we are setting up. At the moment we are still working out the concept, so keep an eye out for Isil’Theran in a few weeks.
