We have the Ebon Knights in the streets and the Illidari all over the place. Let me remind you the Death Knights butchered Argents and Silver Hand during legion and no one even cared. Could be worse.
Thatâs very true, but itâs also endorsed by the writers at Blizzard; Varian/Anduin openly pardons them in-game.
As a player who participated in the War of Thorns campaigns on Horde side, I disagree.
Bottom line, Shal´dorei druid apprentice in Alliance is a weird and outlandish concept
It is not for everyone. That is why I made this thread. To see if any guild would be open to it. Approaching random Kaldorei guilds with such concept is not a good idea. But who knows there might be someone out there for me?
And yet there are worse concepts out there. Op, give it a trial, see how it goes with interactions and possibilities. As an earlier poster said, there are other guild potentials not just kaldorei. Look in game not the forum for your answers.
There are
And?
And that is not the point of the thread. I am here looking for people who may want to Rp with me not those who would not
I think I said it before but⌠Disguise or alike is the best choice out there for concepts like this, rather than open announcement of who/what you are.
Which you would do better looking for in game at this point
Power to you OP, hope you find what youâre looking for.
Idk just see the player response ingame I guess, itâs definitely outlandish and strange but I think that this is the appeal of it to you anyway. I think it could make for a good story, as long as you are willing to RP out the repercussions as well as the fun bits. Itâs all well and good to RP flipping sides and I personally enjoy that RP myself but you must also accept the adversity that comes with it on an IC level and not bring it OOC, which I see people do a lot also. WoW has a lot of races put in buckets and you are challenging that which I personally think is cool, again, if you are willing to RP the bad as well as the good.
In game exploration for your druid-to-be character will net better results, and it will be part of her journey and quest to strive and find for acceptance in the Blue Side.
In general fluid RP more than pre-arranged one nets better outcomes - at least for plots and stories of this type.
Honestly, itâs kind of weird to me that this thread devolved into people trying to tell you not to RP what you want, rather than trying to help with what youâre trying to do. I donât have a roleplaying guild on offer, but personally, Iâm at least open to RPing with you to see where it goes. With the caveats that I donât RP tons these days, and my character is pretty anti-Horde, so it might very well just end up with a one-time ânope, hate youâ meeting, depending on how itâs handled. Whisper me in game if you want, otherwise, have a pleasant day.
I canât speak for every Night elf RPâer, but I honestly cannot see a Nightborne who participated in the War of the Thorns to be thoroughly accepted by a Night elf guild or group, considering the past of the character. Many Night elves had loved ones that died during the war and when Teldrassil burned, and for some itâs still a fresh wound that has yet to be mended. Perhaps in due time it is a possibility.
Even if she supports the Night Warrior arc many are currently going through, that support isnât guaranteed back. Itâs understandable that she wants to make amends for the things she has done, and perhaps she can one day! However as I said, itâs not guaranteed. If you are willing to RP through that, the IC consequences and reprecussions it could lead to some interesting character development for sure.
Agreed. Still, if the OP is aware and accepts that as being the inherent risk of the concept, I donât see the BFD. Itâs no different than role-playing a number of fringe concepts that are tied to a risk of - dare I say it - consequences to the character.
I wish you luck OP. Iâm not going to sugarcoat it, armistice or not youâre likely in for an uphill chase for role-play that doesnât immediately default to hostility. Especially with the night elves. If youâre cool with that being the case however, go forth and redeem your defecting elf.
To be honest I expect to face a few hard days ahead on Alisande. I would not like it otherwise to be clear. She is a murderer, a snake, a villain and she deserves the hate of the Kaldorei.
Yet there is a small chance there that they see she wants to change. If she manage to do that is up to the IC interaction completely. Her gambit is that with the undead on the loose she is more useful alive than dead or in prison. So she may get one chance to prove her self. If not she still feels that defending and helping the Kaldorei (With or without their approval) is the right thing to do.
Night elves are on a war path at the moment - if they have little to no patience for their allies within the Alliance, then imagine what they have for the Horde in the current situation.
Also learning Druidism takes years.
Keep that in mind.
No one even cared? If you play a death knight in the pre-patch event, Argent Crusaders will literally tell you they have not forgiven you. They do not consider you an ally; they do not consider you an enemy only because the Scourge is running rampant throughout the entire world and the Ebon Blade have Bolvar, who might as well be the key to ending it.
The Illidari havenât even done anything that even remotely approaches the actions of the Ebon Blade at Lightâs Hope, let alone the burning of Teldrassil.
Didnât the night elves use Nightborne as weapons against each other while helping with the Rebellion? I seem to recall quest dialogue for that
Night Elves had Teldrassil coming. But as others have said, neutrality is the best option. One doesnât need to be part of a group to help its interests. She could have just been in the Horde working on another (inevitably failing) rebellion, and trying to bring them to the Alliance. Working in, for example, the Kirin Tor, and trying to steer them to the Alliance Jaina-style might give you more longevity, and better RP. Ultimately, the choice is yours, of course.
