I'm quite curious, where do Kul Tiran Druids fit into Stormwake? After reading through the document I can see there's been a lot of mention of this Tidemother who I presume is Kul Tiras' main faith but nothing regarding the soon to be Human druids.
Hello!
As far as I'm aware, the Kul Tiran druids will mainly center around Drustvar and the narrative in that region, while in Stormsong its indeed the religion revolving around the Tidemother, hence we put more focus on that. So the druids would mostly become relevant if any of our narrative relates to Drustvar. I'd have to seem in-game to give a better response though :)
I will dig into the past when I am 109 years old and think damn, I actually did something good with my miserable life.
Sounds kinda like an old guild I knew.
Seems like a very well thought out concept (I almost wish I was the one who came up with it!)
Good luck, children!

Unless you seem to think that a new guild sharing genre traits with a previous one is somehow plagiarism (in this instance feudalism and the structure thereof), I don't see the purpose of your comments beyond trying to smear us passive-aggressively. By that standard, we wouldn't be allowed to create any guilds that have similarities with ones that existed in the past, which is a silly notion. If you can actually point to any feature of this guild that is blatantly copied from one that died over four years ago, before Kul Tiras was even a footnote on Blizzard's drawing board, I'll happily address it.
Moreover, if you think posting nearly the same comment twice on two separate accounts somehow makes you doubly right - it doesn't.

From an outside perspective it just looked like the same kind of circle-jerky well-wishing that's gone in the rest of this thread, pal, if there's any genuine aggression or accusations of plagiarism there they were incredibly subtle
At least, until you blew them out of the water with a paragraph of overly-enthusiastic defence prose, and now the whole thing smells funny
Out of context it may seem a disproportionate response, but for those who are aware of what he's referring to, it's entirely warranted. The implication that we stole a concept we've put countless of hours into building up deserves to be refuted.
"stealing a concept" xddd
More or less every single RP concept that's currently on the server has been done, if not in the 14 years of AD then on other servers, other games or even tabletop campaigns. The implication that an RP guild CONCEPT is somehow exclusive to the first ones who did it is quite honestly pretty hilarious.
I'd have a problem if someone completely unrelated literally redid an old guild from the name to the exact idea as that'd obviously impact the people behind the original iteration as well, but there's absolutely nothing wrong with doing something that's just conceptually similar.
I do hope there will be a guild or two out there for each house in Kul Tiras, or some joint coalition guild somewhere in patch 8.0.2.
Good luck to the Stormwakes!

The context is important though and that's my point. There's an active guild on the first two pages of this forum that's used a document stolen literally word for word that I spent several dozen hours creating, I get your drift entirely, it's hard to let go of these sorts of things but whether you're the one pursuing the allegation or refuting it the vast majority of folk reading your thread will have no clue what this beef is
It's better to rise above it; you should be able to refute the allegations just by being you and doing your thing as opposed to rising to passive aggressive comments (even in an academic way) - they aren't passive aggressive to the vast majority until you give them context by retaliating
Speak the good word with your RP, don't bother arguing with people posting several times from different characters to try and bring you down, literally nobody cares

It's already in the works! We're just waiting for the other house guilds to pop up so we can reach out to them for pan-Kul Tiran collaborations. And thanks :)

I agree with you. It can be a hassle to deal with every naysayer with an untoward opinion, but at the same time, this person is someone I know personally and I find his assertions worthy of addressing. If not for my own sake, then for those within our shared RP circles who may get a false impression of alleged plagiarism.

Ademar, this is a quite strange response to what I thought would be free, positive bump for what I thought was a great idea for a guild. I was motivated to post twice here when a mutual friend of ours asked me to bump the guild thread, after it was missing from the front page for I believe a day and a half. Was it circle-jerk-y? Yes. But you were the one getting circle-jerked off, so I don't see why you've reacted in such a hostile way. Your erroneous assertion that I've used two different accounts is also rather strange, when in fact I've only ever used one account, and I assume what with all the alt finder programs that work with the forum interface, people can tell which ones are my characters anyhow.
It's quite telling, though, that you seemed to have a pretty clear idea on which guild you're supposedly ripping off, when in fact none were brought up. Honestly, after deciding to endorse your nifty little guild out of genuine admiration for the concept (which I find ingenius, and commend whoever came up with it), I'm quite convinced now that you are indeed a rip off.
Which is, IMO, fine. It's not about pride of authorship or ego, but about the quality entertainment you can provide. What I don't appreciate, however, is the hostility you seemed to have at the barest hint of taking inspiration from elsewhere, which is indeed a sign of the very thing that I said it is not about, in the first sentence, of this last paragraph.
In any case Talbot, I wish good luck in what I expect will be highly entertaining few months of entertainment you will get out of your guild. I'm disappointed, but I'm a big boy and can take it. Carpe diem (:
I wholly endorse this concept and await eagerly to see it blossom into some good roleplay. Good luck and have fun.
Good to have you back, Arisholt!

I'd already laid bare that we know each other, which obviously implies that I knew which guild you "didn't bring up" in your original remark. My response was a rebuttal to the accusation that I'd appropriated an idea that wasn't of my own making, but apparently yours? How you claim to support and then disparage this guild within the same breath is also hardly indicative of the good intentions you supposedly had, even if you were to read my response as an overreaction. With that being said, if you genuinely believe I've grossly misinterpreted your original comments, I'll gladly invite you to correct course with me in a private conversation, as I'd rather avoid cluttering our recruitment page with what could potentially be a long-winded back and forth.
I suggest you guys sort this out with an IC duel. Fluellan’s a !@#$ emote fighter anyway.
In the meantime, this looks like a cool project and I hope we run into each other soon.
I can't wait to roleplay with them!
If you're thinking about joining I can assure you that it'll be a fantastic experience. They're friendly and helpful people.
I recommend this guild to everyone!
Can't wait to get in and start RPing with this lot, genuinely so looking forward to it.
