[A-RP] The Crown Confederacy — A Stormwind Project

Dwarves, gnomes and… Them (high elves) could feasibly have positions on councils or as magistrates. Even that filthy Darkshire had a gnome on their council.

I agree that dwarves and night elves could have important roles but gnomes are canonically a joke race, joke races don’t get to do politics.

But the Horde had a Troll 'chief. Although I suppose that was joke politics, so it doesn’t count.

True but they portrayed him correctly, by having him spend the entire time doing literally nothing note-worthy.

Gnomes? You mean void elves, dear.

I didn’t know Hrothgar race-changed to human

Why not both?

win/win for everyone (that isn’t a meme race)

This is going to be a major plot point for me and mine, at least!

We’re all meme races now.

Hm, will the harbour have its own guards and import/export person? That could be a thing… Kill the pirates!

Though fearing a panicked response ingame to this is valid, this sounds like it could be fun and cool if succesful in the way it’s intended.

The guild I’m in usually just hang around Stormwind as ordinary citizens when we’re not touring the world on jobs, so I imagine there’s not much for us to do in the discord or ingame council, but hopefully the resulting storylines will still be noticeable and felt in the city regardless.

I will personally stay optimistic and look forward to how it unfolds!

Will mage guards join the guard forces?
Jaina has the filthy mage guard elite in SW when you meet her as Horde, be nice for mages to play a bigger role… And not wear the typical SW guard set, but something more fitting.

While I don’t RP at Stormwind all the time, it will be a very nice change to see Stormwind improving as a RP hub. Stormwind surely has seen better days, which days are unknown to me as I am fresh to RP here. But even for a new RPer, Stormwind is meh. It can surely improve and your thoughts on that sound intriguing, yet they require a lot of patience and effort to actually take effect. It remains only to be seen. But I truly hope you and the rest manage this because Stormwind deserves it and the people in it deserve something better. Only they can make it for themselves.

The Stormwind Sunday Herald carries an article today, as a small sidebar tucked away on page seven:

HOLY WOMAN FRACAS ON CATHEDRAL STEPS!!

Tempers flared yesterday evening following comments made by a high-ranking member of the clergy. Baroness Sallien Harrow, 40, daughter of the late Lord Arthur Harrow and one of those responsible for order in the halls of the Cathedral, was heard to condemn the behaviour of certain “undesirables.”

Lady Harrow spoke against the welcoming of the Void Elves into Stormwind, and the behaviour of those worgen that refuse to change into their human forms. A seneschal of the Church, the Baroness earned the ire of plenty of passers-by, including one Adolphus Jaggerhawk. A heated argument ensued, wherein accusations of racism and xenophobia were levelled toward Lady Harrow. She vehemently denied these, and repeated only that all races and types were welcome in Stormwind, so long as they adhere to and follow the values of humanity and the Light.

Lady Sallien Harrow holds a remarkable history of both secular public service and sectarian leanings. She has served in such organisations as the City Watch, the Order of the Bloodied Crown and the Holy Order of Lordain, amongst many others. When approached for comment, Lady Sallien said only: “it is paramount that we collectively come to our senses and recognise the decline of Stormwind. We must insist upon all members of the Alliance recognising and adhering to holy values. The Light is our greatest strength, yet it is being diluted and corroded by those that seek to undermine humanity’s place as primus inter pares.”

The whole piece was brilliant. But this is the icing on the cake :joy: :ok_hand:

Ye, because there shouldn’t be any soldiers stationed in the Capital of humanity. Let’s just submit to endless waves of edgelords.

Fake. Unless it’s just you, because as we all know, RPing a rebel is so cool that i’m going to metagame everything that Sylvanas does and then scream at people on the streets… I wonder why people have a problem with this?

Sure, you can play as your lawful good horde hero, but even they aren’t this stupid.

Ye, we need more futas and femboys.

It’s bad for the realm.

Calm down, seriously and stop hating this idea like it’s going to bring apocalypse.

As an IC rebel, you should be afraid of slandering the Warchief / the current Horde in the capital city. Honestly sounds really immersive and adds to the experience of RPing such a character when loyalists are about who won’t take well to what you say. There is no fun to your char / the concept if there is no danger.

Not liking the particular OOC group RPing the loyalists in question is a completely different problem. Don’t get why you are in a major hub in the first place if you just want to be left alone / not get involved with anyone who inconveniences you IC. Sounds like the most boring outlook on RP ever.

I have literally been screamed at by people IC who are anti-Sylvanas in Orgrimmar. But when it comes to the “evil” Horde loyalists and authoritarians I’ve only seen them struggle with people who are definitely not shy about saying things and having to defend the Warchief under an onslaught of meta knowledge. So yeah, not sure where you’re getting that.

Plot twist: He is one of those Meta knowledge people.

How about expanding for RP groups in each region of the Stormwindian Kingdom, if I remember the kingdom is Elwynn Forest (Including Duskwood), Westfall, Redridge Mountains and the pass to the east of Duskwood whose name eludes me.

Could even work in embassy or ambassadors of other nations to Stormwind.

Deadwind Pass?
