OPEN UP.

THIS IS WORSE THAN WAITING FOR MY FAVOURITE BAKERY TO OPEN ON A SUNDAY.

I agree. The wait is painful... but then you smell the delicious pastries baking inside.
And they start stacking the pastries on display, so you press your face against the glass... mmm...

OPEN UP D:

Kazramath’s real plan is to drive us to insanity figuring out how this works.

Alarik is working on it.

I forgot you're an oldie too, that's surely a compliment.

Also died twice today, got my neck stabbed then stabbed myself in the head. Great times in the Lionheart.
Small update for those who want to know what's been going on with the Lionheart! I tried my best to not make it too long but also clear enough what exactly is happening. Expect more to be added as events unfold!

Proud to have been part of this guild in the past. Good luck with your new adventures.
We escaped the Void Realm we were trapped in, and even managed to kill off Lotheridan's alt! A perfect day was had today, if I do say so myself.

...Okay sure, Meyryn might be emotionally broken and several of us suffer mental trauma from the horrors of the Void Realm, but as I said we did get to kill off Lotheridan's alt, a fitting revenge after Loth's DMing has killed off so many of our characters in the past!
"We", thank you I and I alone killed Loth's char!! You still owe us 6 dead chars by August.
Does race changing my alts every now and again count as killing off RP characters?
Nope. Has to be LH Chars
Let it be known that you do not need Loth to mentally break your character!

WE ARE INDEPENDENT ROLEPLAYERS! WE ARE CAPABLE OF BREAKING OURSELVES! TEAR DOWN THESE SHACKLES OF TYRANNY!

All this talk of mental trauma. Alarik feels fine.

Darn.
"You would have liked them," Maurena said, looking down at the bottle in her hand. Her vision had blurred over the night, her third supply run down to the inn's bar having severely impacted her senses. She was holding her balance only by her hand planted firmly onto the table placed in her room.
She turns the bottle in her hand. It had the nerve to be empty now - whatever had once been in it had vanished. She honestly couldn't remember what she had ordered. "They are as varied as Stormwind. Your bloody type," Maurena sneered.
The Highborne glared as much as she was able up at the bow on her wall, as if it had done her a great injustice. She tossed the empty bottle aside, and watched it roll over the floor, as she struggled to open another. "You know, I didn't die. Can't imagine how that feel like. I hear some of them died thrice," she muses, finally getting the bottle open, and throwing some of the liquor down her throat. It didn't even burn any longer.
"You should have been here," Maurena said in a bitter tone. The bottle faded in and out of view as the tears welled up in her eyes. Her breath caught in her throat, the pain that hid inside blossoming up and tearing her insides to shreds.
She tried to get her question of "why" over her lips, but it just caught. The now half-empty bottle in her hand held her down, dragging at her hand. She could see the shadows encroach on the outsides of her windows, over her walls from nooks and crannies, creeping over her vision.
"Why?!"
The bottle shattered over the wall, glass shards and liquor everywhere.
Maurena collapsed open the floor, barely limping towards her bed, where she curled up beside it, swept up in her cloak.

The drunken, traumatised ramblings of Maurena.

Thank you for the event, it was a lot of fun to participate in the campaign! And thank you for scarring my character even more.
Aeqi finally could make due on her word, the large bag holding most of the vrykul's gifts and riches gifted to her as their rightful champion and leaving behind a only a tenth of what was formerly there, and she left for the day, leaving behind a note with accurate instructions on the noticeboard before her departure.

Aeqi tapped the crystal orb tied to her waist three times, and after a few moments, the portal to Shattrath opened, leaving Azeroth for a few days to enjoy a well-deserved rest. She headed to the lowqer city, waving to the Sha'tar on her way, and on the lower city she made haste across the crowd, moving through it with ease and reaching the orphanage, where she was greeted by the matron, and after a short discussion, she offered the bag of treasure to them, walking in to greet all the orphans.

She sat on a chair, the orphans circled her as she started sharing with them the story of Aeqi the Champion of Skorn (Assisted by the squires Regina, Darys and Amely) and her adventures on a fake realm where she saved the life of her friends by holding back a horde of ravenous beasts as tall as three orcs by herself. She spent the entire day there, laughing and playing with the orphans, sharing her trinkets with them as if they were toys, and talking about the mysterious creatures of Northrend.

Good campaign, but there were two void elves, ew.

wait what
Aeqi lacks the spacial awareness to realise she was probably the least significant member of our group that day, off doing side quests while the rest of us completed the actual mission.

Update #2

Greetings everyone! With the "Benefactors" story chapter ended it is time for another update!

1. "Benefactors"

The story chapter ended one day earlier thanks to some excellent detective work by some of the guild! I have also written down what's transpired during the story chapter so that those interested will get to read what we've gone through! It was filled with lots of death and tragedy that has utterly broken a few of the members. Expect a story in the coming days following the aftermath, told from the perspective of the nefarious 'Council'.

It was not your standard type of campaign and storytelling as, especially once they found out about the dream, most of the actions (and consequences) were in the hands of the participants. It also meant there was no end fight as one would expect, instead the real fight comes in the aftermath - dealing with the trauma a lot are suffering through.

2. Quests

I have given some more thought regarding the priorities and what separates them. Based on feedback we'll also tackle the way how quests are given differently as well so that those who are new or simply not as confident are given an equal chance to find a group!

Low priority remains much the same as it is. These are one time events that aren't world threatening yet there are many in abundance to choose from. High priority, on the other hand, will be expanded upon so that they are events that can take several days or are spread out over a couple of quests. Essentially they are smaller storylines for the guild members to participate in.

We will also hold meetings every ~2 weeks to speak about what quests are still open and might be a good idea to tackle. It will serve as a meeting point for everyone to get in a group so they, too, can participate in a quest (or several!). Hopefully this shall get the more quiet members more involved and fully enjoy what we have to offer!

New quests are scheduled to be put on the website in light of these changes some time tonight or tomorrow, depending on how busy it gets for me.

3. Recruitment

I have unfortunate news for those who have been vocal about wishing to join us. The story chapter was a good way for us to gauge numbers as well as activity outside of the events. We averaged at around 24 people per event, which is absolutely insane and way more than I personally thought we'd get. Considering the queue of people who wish to join the Lionheart makes it all the more heartbreaking to make this call.

Until BfA we will not be opening our recruitment. We wish to focus on we have and we will review whether we can take in more people or not after we've been through the initial rush of the new expansion. It's probably not what some of you had hoped but we're scratching the ceiling of what we can manage currently.
Heading into the Season 6 mid-season break of The Lionheart.
This is where the creators get a bit obscure, right?...
