[A-RP] The Rams Garde

What in this does not explain what the concept is about?

this is what i’m talking about.

mention everything. i didn’t say anything about your concept, i said you witholding information isn’t going to get you anywhere. mention it, mention -everything-, and not just the basics.

Oh yes, I get you now. Well, this is why I want people to ask questions. Because I do forget things, and not everything is written down in stone, and since the system also moderately changes over time, new things will be added and other parts will be tossed away. If people ask me questions about matters they are curious about, I am more than happy to answer to the best of my ability.

What new things are you adding?

An enjin page, perhaps?

Chains and Ball gags

What are the victory isles? I’ve never seen them mentioned in the lore, nor a prison that supposedly rivals that of the Violet Hold in Dalaran or the Vault of the Wardens.

I believe it’s custom lore…?

That would be absurd and most certainly the most inane thing I’ve seen in quite a while on these forums.

It’s not that uncommon for these House guilds to create custom holdings to support their narrative.

Hârold, why do you feel the need to falsify lore and create things that don’t exist in the game? Wouldn’t it be better (and give you the creative freedom you seemingly desire) to do a pen and paper campaign with roll20 . net or similar applications?

I think you are pulling this abit too far. Yes, Victory Isles does not exist in Lore, nor on the in game map, but there is something called creativity and pushing boundaries, seems to me that you haven’t roleplayed on Alliance for some time as theese things are quite common here, and is a quite normal thing to do, specially in noble RP.

Unfortunately. It’s the same argument used for buzzboxes. At the end of the day though, it’s better to say you hold lands in places that already exist. Otherwise we end up with moonguard levels of headcannon, where entire civilisations are stamped out of the ground for the sole purpose of bloating someone’s ego.

Fixed that for you.

You fixed what? I only see lack of maturity from yourself. Very nice.

Really it’s not that, but by the statement that IT’S A COMMON THING in alliance, you brand the whole faction as a bad rp. No, it’s not common in alliance, to make lore out from your (Y) . As much as you’re willing to pull off an amazing one could say idea, yeah, go ahead. But consider the fact, that WoW universe is huge enough, you could pull a great guild idea without making up random zones which doesn’t exists. All it takes it’s a bit of creativity, really.

Just as it takes creativity to make something around the lore aswell. And I stated it was a quite common thing, one do see alot of it, atleast I do, every day I see guilds made up from fictionary non lore areas. There are more lords and ladies than there are towns in the game wich one could stand as a Lord or Lady. And I do not wish to occupy a ingame place because I base my char of owning such a place. There are people that call themselves owners of Darkshire and Lakeshire for example. I would never think of even beeing that person, because such I do find very silly, because it would limit people from IC drama in such.

Then bloody mention it. Don’t keep saying that you haven’t said all this stuff, you’re just blowing off criticism as stuff you’ve already thought of but there’s absolutely zero evidence to actually support this. Either you put no effort into your guild pitch, or you did but you only put in the really important stuff - which is basically your character’s story and your headcanon bollocks, plus a load about recruiting a lot of people.

Essentially you say you’ve only put some of the information in, but that pertinent information you did deign to include is basically just 8 novels’ worth of your own character’s made-up behind the scenes story. Not good for attracting active roleplayers.

The guilds you speak off are normally shrugged off, since its so easy for anyone to come up with a nobleman title in a far away land that could or not exist. I believe the issue here isn’t the idea itself, merely the headcannon in having a private island(s), with a high security prison and suddenly a new banner. And i would argue the fact of, just because everyone does it, doesn’t make it right.

Perhaps instead of making a new land randomly, you can use a place that already exists? The lands of Azeroth are vast and huge unlike its portraited in-game where one can cross a country in 7 minutes. Nevertheless i wish you good luck with the idea, and hopefully you can flesh out the recruitment post because i fear much is left unsaid.

I keep the more IC story wise to the IC aspect or questions asked.
