Do you want borrowed power in the game?
Yes or no.
For myself it’s a huge no.

NO in 10 chars.
I’m actually neutral about it.
yes, why not
I’m neutral about it. I understand they do it to please the people who think that if you don’t add abilities and talents every expansion the game is dead.
No, i really dislike getting something and than having it taken away.
I am rather neutral about it.
On one hand, I’d say no. On the other, I want to experience new things.
All this crap should NOT be in the game!
More abilities and talents are fine if we get to keep them and they are not tied to borrowed power.
enjoy having 1000 abilities that you don’t use then.
That’s a bit of an overstatement isn’t it?
Other games manage with way more abilities… I think some classes could use a few more buttons to mash.
But then classes just get bloated spellbooks and get homogenized.
You can’t just keep giving new abilities without removing anything and expect the game to be balanceable.
If it’s not borrowed power you just get class pruning ever few expansions.
Personally I’m fine with just getting no new abilities and leaving the game as it is but I understand not everyone agrees with me.
In fact, there could be other solutions to the problem you’re having that involve more borrowed power.
I’d rather we didn’t get temporary abilities that only last an expansion, but I’m fine with gear that gives a temporary ability/change to your playstyle for a patch or so (e.g. trinkets and tier set bonus). Not sure if tier set bonus count as borrowed power, but I’d prefer little things like that which change how you play in a small way for a short time, rather than having the whole spec/class designed around an ability or two which will be removed after 2 years.
No thanks!
You can not keep giving every expansion more and more, i suppose. So you end up with borrowed power.
You even haven’t asked what kind of solutions and said “no”.
Well… No discussion possible here.
Yes, but they should be lesser and not systems which redefine the game every expo. For example BFA gave us three systems, which was too much. One system per expo, and minor class additions.
Endless significant gain of abilities leads to bloat.
No gain means you’re paying for an expo for new zones alone, which means I’d expect way way more zones per expo to justify it.
I think blaming “Borrowed power” in general is really a silly things.
How can you manage to make the game survive without giving player something?
Would you rework classes every patch to keep things interesting?
Personally i HATE when Blizzard do this, they create a fun playstyle and next expansion/patch is gone.
I would rather prefer having a fun. and working backbone and then adding customization to it.
You can’t keep adding, I don’t want 3000 useless ablities.
