A thread for discussing the A³ (All Across Azeroth) community and the PCU

See, I’d love to believe that, because I did enjoy my time in Azure Dawn, but I’m incredibly suspicious after the cascade of toxicity had washed over me after I had dared make a peep about cyberbullying.

This comment by Speedwagone phrases my suspicion best: [X-PvP-RP] United Anti PCU Legion - #119 by Speedwagone-argent-dawn

The PCU did nothing or very little to cull its bad actors. The bullying co-GM I mentioned stayed co-GM. The people who sent me sexual harassment stayed in the PCU, in spite of me reporting them. And Azure Dawn’s GM, however much I liked her as a person, either did nothing, or was entirely unheard by the rest of PCU leadership.

It’s that which I’m ultimately interested in. Does A³ now actually actively cull its toxic elements? I’m fine with the answer that they’re just a group of people who like RPing with each other and they don’t want to bother anyone—fine, cool, I enjoyed the RP, too, and most people were fine, good even. Have fun, and I really don’t want to go on a drama crusade. But before I trust A³ again and feel safe interacting with them, I simply must know that:

  • That behaviour was unacceptable.
  • The abuse I received was unacceptable.
  • The fact that nothing was done about any of this was unacceptable.
  • The fact that I got kicked and banned for a single short message calling out cyberbullying was unacceptable. Excuses about ‘you used “@everyone” and this was very bad netiquette’ aside.

The whole thing left a sourer taste in my mouth than I like to admit, and I have a chip on my shoulder about it.
