A warning to the community wanting TBC servers next

but classic-woltk is fun because of broken classes and speccs retail everything balanced = boring

Yeah… and arena was the main reason as to why that balance had to happen. It started a chain reaction of nerfs and buffs that impacts PVE and class identity, it never results in a satisfactory outcome. Turning WoW into an E-Sport was the wrong move and moving onto TBC would result in the same broken 2vs2 and 3vs3 comps all over again.

Faction balance is a problem in TBC but it helps that you wont be starting “fresh” it will be moving your vanilla characters over.

I’d always be Alliance on TBC, I prefer the experience in zones

theres going to be esport in classic too

there isnt always faction balance problems because all people prefer horde only on wotlk its balanced because human is op

I dunno if people prefer horde it seems to be a modern thing, from what I heard the story of retail has made the horde priority in a few expansions

i guess its because after the human nerf for pvp just most pvp players moved to horde and now people just stick to horde and it always have been on all private realms majority horde except in wotlk it was balanced or a little bit more alliance

It’s just a personal opinion but I never liked the concept of Arena being designed around 3v3 Rock, Paper, Scissors where certain comps are just too OP, especially in TBC.

If anything, I’d like RBGs and more World PvP incentive content.

all rbg comps are same too LOL

oh btw openworld pvp is rock scissor too (1v1)

No because you’re forced to bring more classes than just 3 and every RBG comp isn’t the same, maybe on retail, but if it was in TBC at least it would be more interesting.

That’s why World PvP is good. The element of surprise, the random comp match-ups, the number of players, the positioning and situational awareness involved where anything goes, unlike arena where you’re queuing to go up against another 3 people with predicted outcomes, a true rock, paper, scissor CC chain and nuke or make healer oom.

Then when you win enough scripted Arena games you get the best rewards and fancy titles, why? lol

Hit the nail on the head!

well i don’t like conveniences. i can’t hide it. if by no change you mean LFR and flight paths everywhere then no, i like changes. i think after 15 years we can identify what made the game worst after vanilla and avoid it.

also i would never say “they have to do it” i just say what i like. it’s not my job to tell blizzard what to do.

Getting really tired of this false information:

  • TBC’s LFG is NOT the same as WotLK’s LFD. It’s just a group listing screen. It doesn’t teleport you to dungeons. You just list what you want to do or search for groups others made. It facilitates finding a PUG and means you don’t have to spam trade or general chat to fill in the blanks.

  • TBC has no cross realming features unless you count random battlegrounds or arena – and battleground cross realms were introduced in vanilla. Cross realm zones weren’t until like… cata or MoP… I think MoP.

I don’t get this argument either. Starting on a 13 year path is still a long, long way away from the end of said path. The changes towards what is ultimately retail are not TBC’s fault. These are design decisions made over the course of over a decade, so you can’t just attribute them to TBC. We first started to truly walk this path half way through WotLK when they decided to give us Heirlooms and the random dungeon finder.

Well actually they buffed Seal of Vengeance in 2.2 so that when it’s at 5 stacks of the DoT, it provides a superior effect to Seal of Blood without the health cost.

“Once stacked to 5 times, each of the Paladin’s attacks also deals 33% weapon damage as additional Holy damage.”

Getting to 5 stacks is obviously key, but on raid bosses this shouldn’t be an issue.
As for PvP you should probably be using Seal of Command anyway because of its better burst potential.

Thank you for the longest post, you have miterally won a prize on being the one with most love the community. People don’t listen but you both make it tldr and very in depth, you have very great ability with words and it’s kind of scary how DEEP I went into the thread after 1 sentence. Your future looks very bright, never doubt urself.

Dam this is long yall

my post was
“i want TBC and beyond but without or changed the bellow and many more.”
i know what a said. i don’t like the LFG tool that find you a party and teleport you to the instance. my message wasn’t about TBC was about everything i don’t like in tbc and beyond

TFW the same people who got outraged at “you think you do but you don’t” and demanded that no changes be made to Classic are saying virtually the same thing to people who want TBC servers and/or insisting that massive changes should be made because they apparently know better.
You know who you are, y’all are hypocrites.
