[A-WPvP] <Foolish Whisper>

Good evening, everyone. It sure has been a while.

The work we’ve done and the connections we’ve made over the past few weeks and beyond have borne fruit, so it’s a great pleasure to be the first to introduce you to - the latest (and greatest, prove me wrong) Alliance world PvP initiative, and one that’s long overdue.

Who are we?

<Foolish Whisper> is a dedicated, full-time world PvP guild that was formed by lost souls in the wake of Legion, where many players were left homeless following the disappearance of virtually every Alliance WPvP guild on the realm. The guild was established under the banner of a common need to return to form, against all the odds.

Since the BfA pre-patch, we’ve experimented with every possible realm type and environment to find the place we can thrive best, and it’s none other than we started so many years ago - home, on Defias Brotherhood.

<Foolish Whisper> prides itself on a proven, working model: good attitudes, clear communication, and likemindedness. We know what we want, and we know how to achieve it - and we hope to inspire others to band together and do the same.

World PvP is at the forefront of everything we do, and any other content is secondary. Battle for Azeroth has required more adaption and flexibility than almost any other expansion we’ve seen so far, and whilst many of us have had to wade a little out of depth to keep up with the current metagame, we never lose sight of what’s really important. This means that arena, raiding, and Mythic + all take a back-seat, and whilst our players partake in these on the side, we expect everybody to divert full attention and enthusiasm to the war in the open world, whenever crunch time rolls around.

A beating social heart keeps the guild alive, and the ability to communicate clearly and well are fundamental, both inside and outside of world PvP. The ideal fit will be friendly, motivated, and with an incredibly robust sense of humour - whilst also knowing how to knuckle down and get to the key information every time we take the fight to the Horde. It goes without saying that respect is another crucial virtue for every player among us, as especially during these uncertain times, since success and longevity hinges on everybody being able to support one another - regardless of the external circumstances.

To close this out, we, as a guild, believe that there’s a certain way of going about business in such a way that’s good for the realm, and the sanity of its players.

That’s why:

• We won’t be phasing outsiders from other realms.

• We’re committed to small-scale and will never touch the Group Finder, or band together in obscene and unnecessary numbers.

• We don’t co-operate with Alliance LFG raids, or raids from non-RP realms.

• We won’t be associating ourself with any empty forum drama. Instead, we can be reached by any player or guild, regardless of faction, to discuss and facilitate actual, productive initiatives or changes.

• We’re committed to seeing this project through, no matter what.

With all of the above said and done, let’s talk about:

Who are you?

You’re a go-getter. You’re able, sociable, and flexible. You know what you’re talking about and you’re eager to share and learn. You’ve seen it all before, or maybe you haven’t, and now is the time to start. You value quality, utility, and strategy above all else, and you’re fearless in your execution. You don’t give up easily, because you don’t need to; you’ve already got a plan B.

Your head’s in the right place and you’ve got your priorities straight. You’re blessed with a working brain, mic, Discord client, and you know just what needs to be said, right when it needs to be said. Despite all the heartless things you’re doing out in the world, you’ve got a good heart of your own, and you keep your friends close. We’re all in this together, and we’re just missing you.

Most importantly, you made it this far, because you’re passionate. It’s just a game, but you know it’s naive to pretend that we haven’t been here far too long to not get attached.

So what do you say?

If we sound like the right guild, we’d love to hear from you. We’re currently interested in all applicants, however, there’s a small handful of folks that we’re especially interested in, on a priority basis.

These are:

• Frost Mage
• Resto Shaman
• Unholy Death Knight
• Priest (of any specialisation)
• Balance Druid
• Outlaw Rogue
• Healers (of all classes)

We appreciate you making it this far, and we look forward to the years ahead, whatever they might have in store. All that’s left to ask is:

How can I apply?

You can reach out to anybody in-game and they’ll redirect you to the right people, but to cut out the middleman, you can add our GM, Tzuyu, at Sophena#2180, or myself at lore#21354 - and we’ll be able to hook you up with whatever information you might be looking for.

That’s all for now, and we look forward to seeing the rest of you out there. Actions speak louder than words, so let’s hear it.

I’m a great believer in Forum Drama helps fuel wpvp. Who doesn’t enjoy killing the guy that just called you a loser on the forums?
Back in the day when wpvp was at it’s best on this realm, the forum was busy too.

You do not need drama to fuel wpvp, people either desire the game play or they do not.

If you have anything to say you can whisper any one of us in game we will be happy to help you with your problems and find a solution to them. But to the point we have been doing plenty of WPvP vs the zergs and rando groups from the RP shard a lovely bunch of people.

We are currently recruiting Healers (Rdruid, Rsham, Priest) and dps Boomy, Unholy dk, Shadow Priest, Rogue & Frost Mage.

Hope to see you all friend soon♥

Drama fueled some of the best World PvP this game had seen from Cata onwards. It was probably one of the few things keeping people subbed even when the game was at it’s worst.

Scardrex is just a knobhead. Look, now he wants to kill me.
On a serious note, I can understand guilds not wanting to get into drama wars on the forum, but starting drama on the forum can be a good tool to use. It lets people know you’re active and looking for fights. It antagonizes people to come looking for you and it’s also good fun, especially when you kill the guy/guild that you have that drama with. As long as things don’t get too personal.
Scradrex saying its just about if you like the game or not is wrong. The game has been in the gutter before but some things can act has a motivation to get you out there. That’s all some people need. As said before, it’s no coincidence the best wpvp times this server has seen was fuelled by drama and a hatred between rival guilds. No hatred, no drama and your plan to raise the wpvp scene will fail.

If I had to say so myself, I think the best WPvP I’ve ever witnessed was against Vengeful Dawn on Sylvanas in mists that’s when everything was at it’s peak and it wasn’t fuelled by silly forum drama, sure there was stuff said to each other bashing guilds and what not but nothing ever really personal unlike how it was in warlords.

It wasn’t even WPvP at that point it was just a roasting competition lol. Anyhow I disagree with how you guys perceive forum drama, but each to their own.

FYI still recruiting these classes:
• Frost Mage
• Resto Shaman
• Unholy Death Knight
• Priest (of any specialisation)
• Balance Druid
• Outlaw Rogue
• Healers (of all classes)

“Never hate your enemies. It affects your judgement.”

From experience, no good comes from mindless dung-flinging on the forums. Nobody respects it, nobody finds it funny, and it takes up a lot of valuable time. I think that it’s usually very easy to tell the difference between a genuine guild rivalry, and empty mouthing-off.

Our philosophy is that we’re on a road to the top, and that goal certainly isn’t to be met on the forums. Everything that we’re out to prove can be found and achieved in the open world - where it belongs. This thread is here to inform (and inevitably serve as a vomit bucket for the angry dead to write their own obituaries and air their grievances about their aformentioned death), and to encourage others to take the fight to where it really matters. At the end of the day, there’s only one way to prove who’s the best.

Trash talk is a part and parcel of anything competitive, and world PvP is always personal to a degree, but we don’t feel the need to express that here. If we have a bone to pick, we’ll come to whatever settlement the offending parties may be lurking in, to settle the issue in combat.

Many of us grew up on Defias Brotherhood, with Defias Brotherhood “culture”, but I like to tell myself that the majority have done some additional growing up in the meantime. Far be it from me to discourage those who like to waft their dirty laundry outside of the game, but please understand when I say that I’m neither interested, nor impressed.

It’s more important than ever that we all put our money where our mouth is, and it seems such a waste to spend the time posturing here.

We’ll see you out there.

I’m in somewhat of an agreement when it comes to airing dirty laundry in public. I’m not a fan of some of the stuff that I’ve seen gone on, with people being insulted over their personal lives, real life pictures being posted etc. There’s a line where it stops being bantar and friendly rivalry and begjns to turn people away from the game. I still argue the forums can be used as a tool to promote a wpvp community and that includes drama, done in the right way. You’re always gonna get individuals that take it too far though.

A warm welcome to those who found us through our battles in Zuldazar tonight! It’s nice to see the Horde making an effort to mount a defense, even in the wee hours, but alas - it wasn’t quite enough. Here’s to next time.

As a quick reminder, we’re still looking for new applicants of all classes, with a special focus on:

• Frost Mage
• Resto Shaman
• Unholy Death Knight
• Priests (of any specialisation)
• Balance Druid
• Outlaw/Subtlety Rogues
• Destruction/Affliction Warlocks
• Healers (of all classes)

See you soon.

PS: We make every effort to ensure that every invasion is just as agonising and unfulfilling as this one. Be sure to keep an eye on your favourite assault timer website to stay in the loop!

As we came to realise last night that the BFA zones are scuffed to hell so we decided to try something different and we headed out to Orgrimmar we only went there for memes and for old times and we ended up fighting there for 6 hours all sorts of different groups came to defend there city it’s prolly been the best thing in BFA that I have done or witnessed so far.

Thank you for everyone that took part in the WPvP in Orgrimmar, we will be come back at you with more WPvP in the near future hopefully in the older zones because the sharding feels way better.

Here’s a little something I threw together from the few clips I got last night https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iOsoPQLyQpo&feature=youtu.be

We are still recruiting all the classes stated above in the previous posts.

See you all very soon!

Beware the poisoned turnips. The Horde’s undoing may just be vegetative.

It makes me happy to see the other side finally starting to turn out, but there’s a great deal of refinement to be done.

Wherefore art thou, H-WPvP guilds?
