When are you going to remove people who use autoclicker to constantly stay online and block people who actually wants to play whilst those people sleep?
Or bots that move them in circles etc?
OR FIX THE SERVERS SO PEOPLE CAN PLAY

Seriously have never seen it being done it any game, maybe few people who get disconnected , temp banned ,but that is it, best they can do is check people who are being reported, but to be honest , don’t think that they will do even that
no man just no ! We need free server transfers nothing els!
How manny resources do u think it will take them to validate every of those afkers to see if they are using software or if they are doing it themselfs…?
Even if they would start to dc, highly doubt that they would ban people, players would just find areas where most likely none is going to see them and just do it there.
Do it in a dungeon? who is going to report u now.
Stockade and the horde version, ez pz
or look at it another way - how many resources are people afking and using an automated method o stay logged in using?
Software things like this sometimes can be detected through injections into the apps or api misuse
they are all independent programs and do not touch anything wow related.
I think they have other problems at the moment.
But WoW has the Warden program. That is an AntiCheat code that checks for a variety of known and unknown software.
It reads all programs loaded in the memory. Thus an auto-clicker running parallel to wow would be easily detected. Not sure if they scan for it already now though.
Also this fine piece of code checks for input patterns. If you have a masked program that hits “W” every 29 minutes. That will be detected. Even if the program is elaborate enough for complex movements. That is how bots are detected.
It is even rumoured, that a drinky bird might get detected, as it follows a pattern aswell.
To be 100% you would probably need an external device, that hits your keyboard humanlike in a real random fashion. This would probably only be possible to detect, if another player reports you, a GM contacts you and you dont answer although you are moving. On a big private server they would port you to a different place with obstacles and check, if the char moves randomly or deliberately.
Better to create a char on a lower pop server, than having to delve into robotics and AI
IRL friend is using auto clicker to stay online while he sleeps he is lvl 24 now and enjoying the game very much
They might not scan for it already or dont have the resources to verify Warden alerts.
A bot yes, a clicker, highly unlikely unless they want to be fancy and do it in background (and as you said, it has to be poorly written to trigger anything). There is literally no chance to scan after a program that does pure hw button simulation.
And it is a lot more complicated than this too, unless it is doing a hook or writes something in memory that warden already looks for, they have to analyze the offending application, validate that their detection doesn’t cause false positives (image now 10% of classic players getting a false positive ban ) then deploy the change (yes, in most cases this can be done silently without any client changes).
These people not logging out are a major cause to the queue problem. Blizzard brought out the ban hammers to people doing the same to not go afk and farm honor in AV back in the day, so let’s hope they get what’s coming to them.
The issue here is the autoclickers. Not blizzard being beyond useless in 2019. Fwiw even if those people went offline you wouldn’t be able to play. So go figure.
People like you disgust me. Hope you break your neck.
I’ve sat and watched them ingame, every 2 minutes they move forward by a few steps.
Then they should get off their asses and go fix the turd they just made. It’s their job to be on top of these things. Millions of players aren’t here to watch this god awful mess unfold before their eyes because Blizzard is too incompetent to their jobs properly, We’re paying subscribers that pay for a service. And no the answer is not “stop playing”.
People are getting away with all kinds of crap
I recently started using Chrome Remote Desktop to queue up, before I get home. I strongly advice anyone to do the same. Do anything meanwhile. At work? No problem. Queue up some hours before you come home and enjoy a shorter waiting time in queue.
