Account restricted

They laid off basically the entire cs. I doubt they would prioritize this. Instead they’ll give the ban hammer to bots and put restrictions on trading. Worst part is how incompetent they are in implementation and announcements.

Yeah and not to mention they leave it to some sort of AI which is banning people for sending gold to their alts, you cant make this up! I am literally scared to mail gold to my alt toons :joy:

Yeah it’s completely ridiculous. I want them to change but I think things have gone way too far. They need to remove systems like this but they only see ways to maximize profits without paying any gms.

The main problem is that this is a retroactive limitation on existing customers. If they announced it properly and implemented it in let us say 1 month after announcement. This would not hurt us new players that are not yet 30 days in. I have played the game for 20 days with access to all services. how do you think it feels to have these suddenly out of the blue taken away from you? I understand this do not affect you and that is why you do not empathise with ppl like me in this situation.

Thing is the bots are ALWAYS two steps ahead of them which is why they cannot deal with these unsavory people without having staff members actually deal with it themselves its just not possible and all the steps they take to try combat it just inconveniences players.

I empathise with the fact that the implementation and announcement fed absolutely everything up for everyone. I think the system they are trying to implement is pretty standard for online trading.

I never liked that the change was retroactive or that they implement it without warning or announcement, I never said that

Yeah. Conclusion is they REALLY need to hire gms. Every system has been implended horrendously especially the ai bot with the ban hammer.

There are actual jobs for making bots that farm gold in world of warcraft. Actual companies. Anything is better than what they have now.

Blizzard we need actual GMs

i think whatever rules they make should be the same for everyone paying the same price!

e: i have 2 blizz accounts, bought a lot of stuff over the years /nahnahnah no gold - ONLY BLIZZARD PRODUCTS- dunno how much dollars, and just because i took a break from gaming i am now treated different ? with different rulesets ? wtf ?

Clearly they didn’t announce it because they didn’t want to give the bots advanced warning and its not like they have just done it from a specific time forward they have applied this restrictions to existing accounts that meet a criteria, it is absolutely shocking i emphasize with you i would not play if that happened to me, really bad first impression especially when auction houses and mail are integral parts of the game.

your prior posts focused on the announcement part not the retroactive limitation. That is the main problem imo. But no hate, just frustrated

Yeah I get it, they should probably just remove the system with how they massacered the announcement and implementation. Even if I like it they are incompetent as always. Blizz will be blizz.

The thing is, they actually ment it for SoD but the Classic Era servers are affected aswell…
We have nothing to do with SOD and we areb eing punished for something we don’t even know about.
4 days now.

Damn they really can’t implement anything right can they. Hope they fix it for era

the audacity they have to just do this.
Then let bots reply to tickets saying you violated the terms of use like two times the same standard answers with no information included on what you’ve done.
Then say it’s a bug, we have to ope na bug report.
Then say we have to log out for 12 hours and clear cache an WTF files.
Than say they ment it for SoD servers and not for Classic Era.
Than realize they made a major error and all Classic Era starters are affected.
Than have the audacity to ignore all of this and make us wait for day 5.

You have to wait a day to get a single reply from a BOT, that is just ridiculous. The reply from the bot is not instantaneous. No human is reviewing the tickets. And when someone finally glances over it they just tell you to clear cache or send you a wowhead link (for bugged quests). Really bad.

As a developer (not in the games industry) I am just amazed how a company like blizzard can botch feature releases like this? Especially when it comes to introduction of features that change a portion of the user base experience with the product.

The company I work for would be out of business if we acted like this. We would at least prep/inform our existing customers well in advance of such changes.

But then again we do not sell digital crack to digital junkies…

Yeah like I said it’s pretty standard even if you’re returning. They should make the duration 1 or 2 days instead of a month. I don’t agree that the duration should be as long if you have paid before. I can add it to my feedback ticket but I doubt they’ll listen. Hopefully they just remove the system now since they fed up

I would say the public forgets issues pretty quickly, but no. I think many players just play even though they hate the game. I’m not playing right now because the game is bad, actiblizz practices are bad and I hope more follow if they actually dislike it

It is Ok, we have different opinons. classic era wow is a great game, one of the best imo.
the company in charge - not so much.

e: you are right about players playing even if they hate the game though ! addiction blabla

I see a lot of addiction. Blizzard are also emplying a lot of fomo tactics to keep them addicted. I think 2004 was a pretty good year for blizzard 2005 Blizzard north shuts down and they start making a deal with china for tbc. Then activision merger eventually completes. They don’t know how to design games anymore, at least it feels like that to me.
