Do you think this somehow interferes with bots? No. I’ll explain why: If you create a new account on a banned account, there will be no restrictions on the SoD server. For example Wow1 is banned. Wow2 is created and there are no restrictions on it because 30 days have already been paid for and played on Wow1. Anyone who is happy that the bots have gotten worse knows nothing. It only got worse with the new player.

I’am a new player(ex new, just join SoD on fresh account) and cant normally play on this demo version, but BOT owners happy farming and laugh at everyone
I played almost a month on NA servers because I bought the wrong subscription and played on Living Flame US - The realms having the same name confused me. When i realised i cancelled my NA sub and created a new EU sub on march 15. So I hoped I would not get restricted, but seems like it is linked to game account not bnett account.
Has anyone that has an older game account that is not restricted got hit by the restrictions when creating a fresh alt account lately? Just curious…
If Microsoft board was aware of this, your whole World of Warcraft department would have been already fired for ruining the warcraft-franchize marketing!

have you tried waiting for 30 days, buying a new pc, reinstalling wow, deleting all addons, opening 5 tickets, sending a blood offering and prayer to hakkar, bribing a blizz employer ?
if not, sorry but you could ´ve done more.

Sorry but this feels so bad.
I wanted to check out WoW and bought a 15 Euro Subscription.
I found a leveling buddy and coudnt trade them gear I found for their class.
I cant level my professions well because I cant but anythink on the Auction House.
I cant pay people to get me items from the auction house.
I cant sell stuff I make from my professions to get some money which is super tight…
I cant sell any good bind on quip gear I find on my journey.
And then you tell me I have to wait 30 DAYS and but ANOTHER 15 Euro subscription to get the actual WoW expierence? So you basically telling me I threw 15 Bucks out the window and need to come back in a month and resub to then have the normal leveling expierence everyone else had because I had the audacity to be a new player???
If this is a measure against botting shoudnt it be easy to find out if a person is real or not? Im talking to people all the time, Im running dungeons. Im not mindlessly farming and never talking to anyone.
And guess what I cant even refund my 15 Euros… cool … cool

I saw a thread in the classicwow reddit that this restriction is working against botters and the botters are mad crying. This is peak WoW brainrot (as Asmongold puts it) and I’ll explain why.
First of all I really don’t think 99.9% of botters know what reddit even is and can fluently speak/write English. And unlike those in reddit I’m writing with my real account info here (the forum displays my alt, my main 50 lvl character is Xitaj - Lone Wolf EU).
Secondly, I’m not even gonna make the new player experience argument. I AM NOT A NEW PLAYER. I had an older account and hadn’t played in a while. I forgot the answer to the security question to that account and additionally I moved to a different country with a different currency and you have to contact support to change the country of your account. I didn’t want to deal with all of that so just created a new account to play SoD because I saw youtube videos and the game looked super fun with the new content. I talked about how dumb this restriction is in my previous post so I’m not gonna repeat it.
I openly invite Blizzard to investigate my account for botting, gold buying/selling etc. and ban me forever if any found. I can say this confidently because I didn’t do any of that. I cannot comprehend how dumb this decision is. Even the crappy MMOs from Josh Strife Hayes videos wouldn’t do this or give a warning before paying. WoW is one of the greatest and one of my favorite games of all time and honestly I’m very disappointed and I’m straight up scammed. I’m also disappointed by the reaction of the community. I played League for years and even they would never support a decision like this from Riot. Blizzard truly created their unique kind of players. Seems like nobody cares about anything happening the game unless they are affected by it and have a love-hate relationship and addiction to the game. I’m not addicted, and happily will quit when I’m screwed up big by Blizz.

my proposal is to change the limit from 30 days to 7 days, I think this will be enough to filter out most of the malicious new accounts
