Yes Ion is however the game director, but he is not the only one that decides the game direction. this will be the final patch and instead they were gonna throw in some tweaks. i hope accountwide essences are one of them or they can nerf the requirements and timegating of these essences. Conflict and strife for example is something u have to wait 3 weeks for unless you have 2.2k xp. I get it u gotta earn it but it creates a problem for people that just wanna do high-end pve or are not good pvp players at all. for some classes this is a bis minor essence

I have a life. I don’t want to be grinding Rank 3 essences on new alts.
I’m starting to wonder if the issue is really just down to the time it will take them to change the system, when they are working on Shadowlands.

this is wrong… it takes 5! weeks to get the mythic + essence on rank 3… started doing that one with my DH and he got 3! out of 15! parts for completing this timegated mess… 15/3=5!!!
how are you supposed to do that?
if you want all the essences as fast as possible, you MUST do the same routine every day otherwise it WILL take longer, and if you want to reroll for example, you won’t be able to take part in CURRENT content because you have to grind 5+ weeks to get all the essences…
also people have a lot of time to complain on the forums, because almost all the essences are heavily timegated… therefore after doing these chores you have nothing left to do all day, because you CAN’T progress any further towards these essences, which IS extremely annoying and discouraging

and everyone who compares essences to gear should think about it again… if you want to get the best current gear, you only need to do current content…

RPG means Role Playing game which means, you immerse yourself into an character and play from that characters perspective… there is nothing in this word, which contains, you have to do the same thing over and over with all your characters…
in fact, most RPG’s I play have a whole party, they get their abilities at the same time and you do not have to level them extra again…

massive multiplayer online only means extactly what it says… a lot of players playing together online
