Actions Taken to Curb Griefing by Repeatedly Leaving Groups

Best Christmas gift. Trolls are already crying in the comment section, I can feel their fear and pain, so sweet…

It is the worst thing you can ever made. While you don’t provide clear criteria or UI for “reason i left the group” - im dropping this season and possibly the subscription.
The only advantage of playing healer or tank in keys - opportunity to find and switch groups fast, and you taking this out.

Simple example - first pull in NW or Stonevault, group doesn’t kick stun on healer or fear. I leave in this cases - and it can be 4-5 broken keys before i find a group that use their utilities.
Another example - healers often face group toxic behavior when players don’t use their defensives of failing simple tactics and blaming healer for that. And i leave in this cases - im not going to explain ppl why they are wrong, im not a coach or whipping boy to stay and listen all this insults. And i can’t argue with them because of you politics blizzard - you ban people not based on chat, but only based on number of reports. So i stopped writing in chat at all - just not to be banned from LFG.

I’m heavily dislike your decision - because i don’t want to lose my 15year account dew to reasons that someone thinks that “you playing this game wrong”. So I stop doing keys.
-1 tank and -1 healer in LFG, gj blizzard - there are so many tanks and healers now, yes?

Prime example of why Blizz decision is extremely good. LFG would be a better place without ppl with your mindset.

Go find or create your own premade group if you’re not willing to contribute and tolerate mistakes to some degree.

You can count on that they won’t.

The more information they give, the more people can stay within the lines while still going against the nature of the rules.

its gonna be glorious to comment on forums :d

You’re probably a tad overreacting there. This change seems to be aimed at the lower, Vault-level keys. I highly doubt it’ll be ever invoked as a punishment in any real push keys because, as you’ve correctly stated yourself, wipes lead to clear key failures there, and literally everyone understands it.

With lower keys, though, it’s not unusual when a highly experienced player joins a clear Vault/learning party and then ditches it the moment something might or might not go south, even if the goal – clearing the dungeon for the loot or the Vault – is still achievable. Neither Blizzard nor general player population appreciate that behaviour, but if you’re planning to push, this change probably shouldn’t effect you in the slightest.

Hm… Most of the time I play alone (sometimes with a group of friends). I’d say I’m a proper tank who knows all the mechanics and kicks. I run +8/+9 fast and safe. But there are so many people who don’t even know 1 mechanic (boss or trash). There are runs with 16 minutes left on Ara Karas last boss and keys are outtimed because 2 people don’t know what to do. In the past I’ve never run keys I didn’t know and I’ve looked at guides just to avoid wasting other people’s time. Maybe you’re penalising the people who don’t give a damn about the mechanics. The step from HC to Mythic is soo big. Maybe you need to rethink your entire system before some clueless people steal other people’s valuable time and nerves. I realise that everyone wants good gear, but you have to invest in it. After all, you have to take driving lessons to get a driving licence.

Read again please, “not kicking” - is not tolerate some mistakes, it is cornerstone of gameplay. Not doing mechanics and blaming healer - is not about mindset, I’m a gamer too and i have a right to avoid toxicity in game.

Go try playing healer, you will change your mind when you will see how 90% of player just ignore mechanics in dungeons.

Enjoy your ban :poop:

So, as a new player I can literally get my account banned for not being fast enough.

I can get kicked for having 0000000001% less dps than expected and the slightest comment can get me banned.

A real life emergency can make me leave. Or even a non emergency. Just girlfriend wants attention or cat needs food.
This is a VIDEOGAME. Lol

Yeah…staying the hell away from mythic. Enjoy your empty echo chamber. Because no player with a sane mind will do them xD

You gave 2 (two) examples when you leave NW and SV instantly if things go worng (failed kicks), but man, you have every way to counterplay BOTH situations with almost 100% success rate.
NW first pull is 1 (ONE) caster/stunner and maybe (MAYBE!) a gatekeeper. You can choose not to pull gatekeeper to gauge how good party use it’s overall CC pool, you do feel it on your own HP bar and cooldowns usage.
Same goes for SV, it has 1 (ONE) fear caster and you have at least 4 ways to deal with it by yourself and keep group from failing (let’s be honest, this fear is the only thing you actually care on this whole pull and should never go off). Yet you say it’s not your responsibility and suggest you have the right to leave a key if party (you included) failed to kick 6s long cast.

You sure have the right, but now there’s consequences of your choose to machinegun swap groups here. As I said, you can find good group of ppl and set a premade group where everyone would be willing to play the way you want them to. But you cannot expect everyone to play like you wish them to.

If 90% are ignoring mechanics, you either ignore them, too, and have fun, or, if you wish to play properly, find ppl from other 10% base that would share your oppinion on it and have your fun with them. Why do you impose your ideals on ppl you dont know?

It’s okay maybe for low-lvl keys (like 2-7), but I’m not wiping for an hour in +10+ because some guy doesn’t know his sh*t.

You blind or can’t read - im healer, im not the one who decides what to pull. And I don’t have kick on healer. So… everything you wrote - is totally wrong.

Btw, there are already 3 options when you start a group: “Standard”, “Completion” and “Beat Timer”, so punish those who leave “Completion”, that’s all.

The ability to read is a blessing few have been achieved…

I’ll give the same response people who struggle to get into key’s.
“Do your own key”
If you cant handle a bad group, dont pug, its pretty simple.

But people dont even read the post properly, its aimed at people, who do 1 pull and just leave because it wipes, and that could be because someone thinks he belongs in MDI and has just tried a youtube pull in a random pug with no comms:)

I don’t think it’s too much of a problem to just talk.

“Hey guys, I don’t think we’re going to make it. Maybe we should leave and try again some other time?”
If at least someone agrees, you can count on it as giving up rather than sabotaging.

This is a better strategy.

Force us to choose one of these options when listing the key and punish those who leave a “completion” key and let those of us that want to beat the timer be able to leave as soon as we see that timing is not possible.

You’ve removed my incentive to pug now and make new friends, because so many players don’t understand what their CC and interupts too. They just zug zug, stand in crap and get mad at the healer when they die. How many players know to LoS the slam in siege, how many players know to kick tremors in GB. It is clear a lot of players do no research and just yolo keys.

Also as others have said if you removed the depletion then they wouldn’t lose much if a key is depleted.

You’ve also removed my incentive to join anyones premade group, because they can get 4 reports on me even if I am not the one bricking the key. Terrible system.
