Activision Blizzard sued by California Department of Fair Employment

I show empathy to people I know to people that I have know for years and have a good connection with… But do you think i have thought about all those people that died in the war against isis for example? or the people that die in a storm like the people from germany in the latsest water disaster? I mean common we never knew these people and we only get some statisical number on the news something like a 150 people died up until now( no its not accurate its a example)… and then i go to bed and live my life the next day

You clearly don’t understand how the law works

Funny chiming in with your uneducated posts. Quality laugh

This might be a weird comparison but here I go.

Let’s say you’ve bought a knife, but the product motto recently changed to ‘‘Go stab someone 15 times’’. The knife is sharp and it holds nicely in your hand, it’s great. Would you still use, recommend, and buy more from that knife company?

From the transcripts read, it does appear to be more historic than current, not sure if that helps but fully understand the feelings.

Who in this thread is shilling for Blizzard?

Apart from the odd neanderthal reaction to the allegations, no one is defending Blizz.

You need to pay more attention to the comments if you really think that no one here is defending Blizzard

No one is defending, if you really believe that someone is, you’ve missed the entire point.

Doesn’t stop it being wrong. And I think turning a blind eye to it, and “continuing with your life” is a one way to sweep stuff under the carpet, which just trivializes it, and by proxy, encouraging it if there’s no punishment.

It can be historic, but the fact that leadership does not take this seriously: shows how rotten the company is. Tone at the top is very important and incidents like these need to be used to set an example and terminate employees which cause it without a discussion.

Your point being insinuating that the women who filed this lawsuit lied based on an unrelated example. We get it.

I would.

Just like I still enjoy a lot of Kevin Spacey’s movies.
I don’t approve of what he’s done, but I seperate ‘the product’ from ‘the people behind the product’.

Women rarely if ever do. And they generally do not care, from my experience. Same with cars and most other fancy stuff. Like obviously some do care but those you want to avoid anyway. Anyway if you’re into dudes getting a nice BMW is prolly a good call.

My old friend had a Porsche and also only dudes came lmao. Maybe it’s where I live.

No because 1: there are no knife shops around here most of them are online…
2: I dont need to buy knifes.
3: the only knifes I do buy if i ever do buy them are kitchen knifes and those i do not buy at knife shops and i use them for cooking

I wonder what the world we live in would be like if everyone had been like you over the centuries. Showing empathy only to the people you know, fantastic.

Are you aware when was the last time sentences were executed without proof? I mean today’s society is about that. You are ready to blindly believe everything you heard from someone or read somewhere without a doubt.

By that logic if your son one day is accused of one of these crimes I assume you’d hand him in to rot in jail without any due process?

Another example of what I’m talking about where a good deal of men without much or limited experience of women assume about them, in transferring their own aspirations onto women as sexual fantasies.

Look at the “incel bucket list” for what women want, it often says:

  • have a huge package
  • be super tall
  • awesome car
  • make tons of money and have a good job
  • be super attractive
  • have ten thousand abs

Now let’s look at the things that group often has a neuroses over:
Their height
Their physique
Their occupation
Physical appearence
Preoccupation about “size”

Not claiming I’m a guru of any sort but I know enough long term married couples and I’ve been married long enough to know that these things aren’t half as important as very basic stuff like being genuinely interested in the other person beyond “what they can do for you”, not being overly pessimistic etc.

I mean, I’ll use myself as an example. I’m an average height bloke. I’m not amazing looking. I went bald at 18. I’m not built like a brick house and I have a rather modest job. I don’t even drive. I’ve been married to my wife for ten years, and prior to that always found relative success with the opposite sex.

People underestimate how ugly a particular personality or outlook makes a person. Just like how a superficial woman in unattractive to many men, a cynical and jaded man is hugely unattractive to pretty much every woman.
Why on earth would you want to date someone who assumes badly of you because of your sex and is looking for you to “prove them wrong” yeah screw that.

But wouldn’t that indirectly support ‘‘the people behind the product’’?

It was an example.

I just cancelled my sub, not supporting this company anymore. Maybe ill give FFIV a try.

You’re the one who stays blind to the fact that these documents were published after an investigation that took two years. If nothing had been found, this article and those court files would have never been published. Keep lying to yourself to protect whoever it is you think you’re protecting with your comments, it doesn’t change the fact that Afrasiabi was accused along with other abusers and that nobody who’s worked for Blizzard over the years is surprised. They knew what had been going on for years, now it’s coming back to bite them in the butt and that’s all they deserve.

I’ll take you seriously when you take the time to read things for yourself instead of endlessly pretending that the accusers are lying.

Blizzard and treating their staff like garbage. Name a more iconic duo.
Shocked pikachu face, honestly.

Maybe they’ll get sued a couple million and they’ll throw a free Pizza day at work. I wish something would come from this, but I doubt it. If it was an EU court I’d be more hopeful… but It’s America. California, but still the american “justice” system.
