would’ve been sick honestly

I get why they didn’t do it that way, but having to sacrifice your class to become a DK (and do the same for DH later down the line) would’ve been very cool.

At least then when DHs are like “we sacrificed everything” at least they would’ve actually sacrificed something.

Begins shrieking in your ear

Demon hunters sacrificed their place in society, their bodily integrity, and in some cases their very souls to square up to the Legion!!!

They knowingly damned themselves and understood the consequences would include never being able to return fully to the people they were doing it for

oh no, they don’t have to deal with the Shadowlands and instead get to literally live forever  boo hoo

I’d rather rest upon the Winter Queen’s bosom than be a grungy demon for the rest of eternity

since you’re not elune or eonar the only bosom you’re resting on is the jailer’s

WoW is in an interesting spot where even though the game is in many ways the best it has been in years (and I think Dragonflight will go down as one of the good expansions), with good player retention and overall positive feedback, it is also selling really poorly.
Which, IMO is the fault of three things:
Lack of trust in Blizzard after BfA and Shadowlands.
People moving on after quitting during those expansions.
Theme that doesn´t lure people in.

I mean, seriously, if you´ve loved Warcraft years ago but stopped playing the game, would seeing Dragonflight trailers bring you back in? Or the in-game cinematics, or description of the lore? Going into just another new mysterious continent might be interesting for the people playing the game right now, but those that left need something like WoD or Legion that excited people and caused them to resub.

It´s not that world revamp (or at least some huge, known enemy) would be cool, it´s needed to stop WoW from slowly bleeding out players.

I hope they’ll learn to add a (weekly?) swapping hub that temporarily adds important dailies to old zones and content, making it more relevant and populating the world more evenly. I suppose it’ll have to involve some revamping or zone phasing like in Darkshore and Arathi. Hell, it might even give people a reason to visit otherwise barren capital cities.

That aside, a support spec for shamans would be nice, though. I think it can fit their class fantasy really well.

I know the silly leak I posted which is almost certainly fake mentioned no Classic+, but honestly Classic+ is the only potential WoW property I’d be vaguely interested in. While the stuff surrounding Khaz Algar stuff is mostly inoffensive it doesn’t strike me as something I’d be really interested in.

What do you mean with Classic+?

Same to be honest. I’m not expecting an expansion for retail WoW to provide me with anything game changing enough to really excite me, short of a world revamp.

But Classic+ as a possibility has a chance to be exciting and fresh, but we’d have to see what it looks like as to whether it actually is.

Depends on who you ask, but essentially an expansion on Vanilla/Classic content in a new direction instead of TBC.

Some people conceive as a whole new expansion with new level cap and story instead of Burning Crusade. Others as just additional level 60 patch content after Naxx.

Personally I’d be more interested in the new expansion instead of TBC route, full AU story mode.

Feel like making cata classic kind of defeats the point of classic
since it was in cata most of the classic features that people miss were removed.

I’d really like to see player housing implemented along the lines of what is available in The Elder Scrolls Online. Garrisons were a step in the right direction but they lacked customisation. It’d be cool to have a slice of the game world that can be tweaked to fit one’s preferred racial aesthetics. Furniture could be added throughout the various aspects of the game to breathe new life into older content.

I am not a fan of player housing.
Garrisons worked so well after all.

but what I would like is guild halls.
Not a house where you can sit in peace with all the crafting and convinces you need.
but a hall dedicated to your guild, filled with trophies the guild has earned, be they statues, decor, banners, etc.
Nothing else, no AH, no profession trainers, mission tables, followers, perhaps a vendor, but no crafting or resources.

just a hall full of bragging rights and maybe a vendor and portal room to the capitals.
that you can dress up in either faction, class or race themes.

Classic has pretty much split into two games at this point, one being revisiting of old-school MMORPG that was Vanilla WoW, and the other being a way for people to experience the older expansions they were unable to play when they were current.
Cata doesn´t make sense in context of the first version, but it would be pretty dumb from Blizzard to stop post-WotLK expansions from getting their Classic version just to preserve some sort of purity of the idea of Classic (especially since nobody will be playing Wrath in a year anyway regardless whether Cata comes or not).

Surely that’s dead with Aug Evoker existing? The concept of a class that makes others DPS harder is already used.

Blizzard should reach a point where they have a ‘Classic’ version of every WoW. It costs them very little and is guaranteed to have players. I for one would really like to play Classic MoP and Legion since I never got to play them on live.

I don’t think it’d be healthy for the already dwindling RP community to be further fragmented.

I was really into Dragonflight at the start of the expansion, but before the first major patch had even released my interested had basically dissipated. It’s not even that it’s a bad expansion – the new content (like dragonriding) was fun, I liked a lot of the narrative direction… and yet, I haven’t touched it at all in months and months.

I’ve said as much pretty recently, but I think that WoW is a bit of a tired setting unfortunately (in my eyes, at least).

That’s a good way of putting it. It’s perfectly serviceable but conceptually bland for me.

I’d like player housing though, get stuffed nerds.
