using european servers are really tilting and bad. i am not experiencing the real game while i am far from the server. I like the game and i wana play it at 20-30ms , not over 100-150ms which is a disgrace.
See other top games that has middle east servers : CSGO - valorant- fortnite- call of duty - rocket league - dota .
Why not WoW? i think you should add a server asap. Thanks
Are you willing to fund the purchase of the rack space in a middle eastern IX? Pay for their yearly peering fees? Pay the staff to manage said servers?
They are not going to open servers in a new geographical location, unless it makes economic sense to Blizzard to do so, because its a VERY expensive exercise.
they dont have to open a new branch in the middle east, just open a server and have customer service over the seas, dont over think it
Ah, another one that thinks that Blizzard just rents generic off the peg server hardware in a generic datacenter.
I got news.
They don’t.
why is it so hard for blizzard while it is so easy for dota csgo valorant fortnite?
Blizzard would not only need employees there 24/7 but a registered office there too.
I think the other companies already have offices there so it’s simple to add more games. Do you know what country their Middle Eastern servers are in? I don’t, are they even in the Middle East or do they just say that?
yes servers are in the middle east, i have 20-30ms playing fortnite (bahrain server) csgo is dubai , rocket league/dota 2 is also dubai i believe. bair in mind bahrain has an official aws hosting
Is this Captain Ayub from Fauda?
So anyway, back in 2005-6-7 and maybe in TBC too, Idr, my ping to Blizzard’s servers in Paris was like 200-300 MS. I’m in Greece. Now it’s like 63.
They do to place servers in a location, which needs staff, managers and an office. A huge outlay for someone to get a 50-100ms better connection. It does not make financial sense to put servers there.
Edit: I missed out the cost of the data connection to the internet.
He thinks that Blizzard are just going to colocate a generic server in a generic datacenter.
Not going to happen, Blizzard guard their Intellectual Property too much to risk a general server tech coming along and plugging a USB into it, and stealing the game code or binaries for reverse engineering.
I disagree, I think our friends in Mid East deserve to have decent ping and the cost required to do so is peanuts for a billion dollar company like Blizzard.
So what ping do they get now?
Sorry I just noticed it in the post, it would get them 100ms less, not worth the hundreds of thousands it would cost.
hi.ive been playing wow since 9 years ago (atleast) and still dont get it why would blizzard wont Add a Middle East server…do u have some sort of problem with Middle East ppl or something?..
Please read the posts above you, don’t necro threads.
Edit: Necro’d thread got moved instead of locked t_t
already read those.and i’m expecting a blue Post to answer people…not ignoring them for over a decade
because imagine putting a server everywhere when someone asks for a server for their region. true gamers learn to play with the ping.
People complaining about a little extra MS and it’s not even noticeable. I main on a US realm with 120ms constantly and I can barely tell the difference between that and the 25ms I get to my EU realm.
It’s noticeable mate.Do you Live in any middle east country atm? if you are not don’t Post nonsense Please.and if you enjoy playing with +200 ms you are most wellcome to come here ;).
Connecting from Europe to a US realm is just the same… Heck even further then Middle East to EU… Also because US and OCE share the same group finder I spend a good chunk of time connected to OCE instance realms with 350+ MS…
please tell me how much more disadvantaged you are and how “nonsense” you find that.
Million’s Of Middle east players in hundreds of forums for years after years .i don’t need to prove anything to you. i just need to prove that blizzard DONT CARE.
Ps: I’m that smart to don’t compare US and Euro Internet ISPs(with super speed routes in Between together) with Middle East ISP companies .
